Purpose: This study aims to count the number of lodgings, map lodging density and its supporting facilities, and rank the county, as well as the lodgings available on the island of Bali during covid-19. Research methods: This study uses data related to lodging and its supporting facilities such as tourist attractions, gas stations, malls, and marts. The data were collected using the web scrapping method utilizing big data sourced from hotel.com and booking.com. The data were collected during the Covid-19 period is from August to September 2021. Spatial analysis is employed using Geographic Information Systems. Also, it uses the scoring of lodgings, their supporting facilities, and consumer reviews. Results and Discussions: The results showed that the number of lodgings on Bali Island during the Covid-19 period was 5,389 properties in a high-density area in South Bali. By taking into account the tourist supporting facilities of Badung, it has the highest level of competition. Implication: The property with high competition is the Sol House Bali Legian hotel by Melia Hotels International. Keywords: Big data, Covid-19, lodging, dispersion, competition.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on low-income workers, most of whom have experienced significant salary cuts. This happened due to government policy in an effort to suppress the spread of covid 19 by making an Emergency Community Activity Restriction Program (PPKM) policy for the Java Bali area starting on July 4, 2021. The regulation strictly restricts the activities of citizens. Employers who can still survive provide options for workers, namely working with a salary of 20-30% of the initial salary in the work agreement or being laid off because it requires company efficiency, which means experiencing a salary reduction of 80%. Based on the results of a survey conducted by the Indonesia Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (IBCWE) in May and December 2020. Workers who experienced a suspension of work again by 26% and workers who were still working, but experienced a reduction in working hours and wages by 55%. Bandung Regency itself, not a few companies cut their employees' salaries because production has dropped dramatically, some even completely close their companies, as happened in Dayeuhkolot District. There were massive layoffs from two garment companies that went out of business. Employees are temporarily laid off or working hours are reduced, taking turns with other employees which of course has an impact on reducing salaries. The formulation of the problem of how to determine the working hours of MSME workers in Bandung Regency during the pandemic and how to determine salaries based on these working hours. This study aims to determine the payroll applied by business actors in Bandung Regency during the pandemic. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Meanwhile, the expected output of this research is to contribute data and facts related to the impact of the pandemic to business actors and the government through publication in accredited national journals.
Cooking oil is one of the ingredients that is widely used by the community, especially in households and culinary businesses. Cooking oil used in cooking activities does not always run out in one use. The use of cooking oil that many times can harm human health. Throwing the remaining cooking oil into the environment will cause environmental damage. This happens because cooking oil contains a lot of fat which can interfere with the growth/metabolism of biota/microorganisms in nature. It is necessary to make efforts to utilize the waste cooking oil by reprocessing it both as a useful product and with economic value, such as hand washing soap. Partners in this activity are a group of PKK women who work as housewives with a lower middle socioeconomic level and the education level of which depends on the income of the head of the family. The solution offered in this activity is to provide training on how to make hand washing soap from cooking oil waste and to assist the efforts of PKK women in taking advantage of the business opportunities of making hand washing soap. Efforts to improve the skills of PKK women to utilize cooking oil waste, besides being able to minimize the negative impact of cooking oil waste, also open up business opportunities in producing hand washing soap.
