Salah satu komponen yang sering dijadikan faktor penyebab menurunnya mutupendidikan adalah kurikulum. Kritikan cukup tajam terhadap kurikulum antara lain; kurikulumterlalu padat, tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak, terlalu memberatkan anak, merepotkan guru dan sebaginya. Oleh karena itu akan banyak dilakukan inovasi dalam pengembangan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), salah satunya melalui penerapan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi Pengembangan kurikulum (curriculum development) merupakan komponen yang sangat esensial dalam keseluruhan kegiatan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan format kurikulum bagi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam yang lebih bisa memberikan nilai bagi peserta didik dalam suatu pendidikan sehingga pembelajaran tidak hanya berkesan sebagai transfer of knowledge saja. Adapun hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa bentuk pengembangan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam yang relevan bagi pembelajaran agamaadalah kurikulum yang dalam tiap mata pelajarannya dimasukkan beberapa nilai moral yanghendak dicapai.
Many issues and actions reflect the behavior of terrorism, extremism, radicalism, intolerance, understanding takfiri (happy to worry), and unilateral truth claims, and so on. This makes the nation-state necessary to seek solutions and prevention (preventive/anticipatory) one of which is to inaugurate the religious behavior that is tolerant, inclusive, and moderate. It can be seen from the viewpoint of religion, especially Islam to give the concept of Islamic Wasaṭiyyah through good and faithful religious moderation behavior. Therefore, it is crucial to research the actualization of Wasaṭiyyah Islamic values through religious moderation to improve the harmony and tolerance of religious people in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to know the meaning and concept of Islamic Wasaṭiyyah (religious moderation) in the form of value and know the strategy and method of actualization of Islamic Education values Wasaṭiyyah (religious moderation) in increasing the harmony and tolerance of religious people in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative methods that belong to literature research. The data collection uses techniques with literature and the documentation analyzed by heuristic analysis methods, verification, interpretation, and synthesis. The results of the study showed that the culture of religious moderation possible to create by Islamic education Wasaṭiyyah. It constructed of tolerance, moderate, inclusive, anti-violence, justice, mutual assistance, harmony, and equal in the way of an accommodating education system to increase the unity among religious people in Indonesia.
The clergy has long used the method of hermeneutics in the 17th century to interpret classical texts in meaning. Because of this, in the study of scientific knowledge, Islam tries to use hermeneutical interpretations to find a definition that can be understood easily by humans. So the need to research the above issues to find formulations and hermeneutic methods in Islamic scholarship that not only consists of the holy book of the Qur'an and al-Hadith as authentic texts but also thoughts, culture, fiqh, theology and fields of science others in Islam. This research method is a study with a type of literature study (literature study) with a philosophical-historical approachdata collection techniques with documentation techniques. The results of the survey show that Muslim scholars such as Amin Abdullah try to use the hermeneutic method in Islamic studies to produce scientific assumptions in Islamic studies in the following subjects: First, the nature of knowledge summarized in various studies is not fixed and static, but dynamic. Second, the thinking carried out by the scholars' is the result of the interaction between the text (al-Qur`an and Sunnah) and the social context that surrounds it. Third, full emphasis on the empirical-critical paradigm for conducting religious reviews, including thoughts about the sacredness of the text itself, and the results of that thought is not fixed but always changing.
The modernization / renewal and dynamization effort in the field of education and socioreligious needs to be done given the condition of past and present Muslims has not shown significant progress. Religion and social life are not made as a unity of living systems so that the mindset and behavior patterns of Muslims experience various disorientation of life journey. For this reason, it is necessary to research the modernization and dynamism of Muhammadiyah (which is one of the religious-based social organizations) in the field of education and socio-religious. This research method is research with type of literature study (literature study) with method of historical approach (history). Data collection techniques with documentation techniques. The research results show: the field of education, modernization and dynamism of Muhammadiyah in the form of integration of science of religion and general science, and still follow the pattern of education applied by the government. While the social and health aspects of the modernization process conducted by holding health equipment such as handling the eye disease problem and make health and social aspects as an integral thing with the establishment of PKU (Helper of Public Misery) .In the field of religion, Muhammadiyah undertakes modernization and dynamism by combining religious knowledge and general science in Muhammadiyah schools, conducting religious studies open space for direct discussion, and establishing the Tarjih assembly as an effort to unify the religious understanding of Muslims so as not to be divided.
