This study aimed to identify the factors influencing on electronic banking services provided by Jordanian banks. Perceived usefulness, ease of use, trust, privacy and security and convenience are the factors investigated in this study. A sample of 300 clients working at King Abdullah University Hospital staff who were active bank accounts in different local banks in Jordan was selected, randomly. To collect the primary data, the study used a questionnaire design based on a 5-point scale. Results of the study found that perceived usefulness, ease of use, trust and privacy directly and positively influenced on e-banking usage. Convenience was found to have no effect on e-banking services. The study recommends that an understanding the factors affecting e-banking is very essential for the practitioners who seek new ways of banking services in the current competitive environment.
This study investigates the impacts of service quality of Jordanian telecommunication and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. The study also studies though the role of switching cost as a moderate variable. Lack of studies in the field of quality in Jordanian telecommunication is the main reason for this investigation. The study investigates the impacts based on the employees' point of views in Aqaba special economic zone authority (ASEZA). Therefore, the study uses statistical data gathered through a questionnaire distributed to the employees of ASEZA. Thus, statistical methods are used to analyze the data collected and the hypotheses are tested. The study results show that there was a direct positive impact of service quality of Jordanian telecommunication and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. In addition, the moderator model (Switching cost) has significant positive impacts on enhancing the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction towards customer loyalty.
This data article highlights the contingent role of company size in the relationship between knowledge management practices and firm performance. It also investigates the possible direct impact of these practices on performance. Data was collected from managers in large and medium-sized industrial companies in Jordan, using a self-administered questionnaire. 170 responses were obtained, 91 from medium-sized companies and 79 from large companies. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to ensure the validity and reliability of the measurement model. Multiple group structural equation modeling was used to check for significant differences in the path coefficients of the research model. The fitness indicators of the multi-group model showed that there was no significant difference in the interpretation of the measurement model; also, the path model was equivalent for both large and medium-sized companies. Testing the hypotheses showed that the application of knowledge has the greatest explanatory power for performance, whether in medium or large companies; however, for knowledge capturing the explanatory power on performance was only for medium-sized companies, and there was no effect on large companies. Moreover, the acquisition and sharing of knowledge had no statistically significant effect on performance in either group.
The digital transformation vision (REACH 2025) is essential for transformation and enabling individuals, sectors, and companies in Jordan to adopt digital solutions and build a robust ground in conducting business. The government in Jordan launched the REACH2025 Vision in 2016, and it has taken many serious measures to bring sectors, companies, and individuals to virtual digital by 2025. This government's vision consisted of seven dimensions (Smart Specialization and demand-driven innovation, Public Sector Innovation, Tech Start-ups and Entrepreneurs, ICT Skills, Capacity and Talent, Enabling Business Environment, Smart digital economy infrastructure, and Governance), and 18 actions to implement over ten years. The researchers used these dimensions to build a framework to measure the impact of government progress on enabling individuals, sectors, and companies, on productivity, and encouraging investment. The researchers used a sample of 196 respondents from various disciplines to figure out attitudes and evaluate government actions. The researchers also used responses to validate the proposed theoretical framework in the components of the digital economy. The results revealed positive attitudes towards the development and implementation, and excellent in some areas, while some measures need strengthening and re-evaluation. The study recommended employing the proposed framework to measure the actual impact of the digital transformation. The study also advises leading future research towards further empirical examination to validate the framework proposed.
