This study aim to investigate the indicator of happiness among Islamic multitasking women. Indicator of happiness consist of five dimension which is cognitive, physiology, psychology, spiritual and social. In-depth interviews were used. A total of four Muslim lecturer in Unversiti Teknologi Malaysia were selected in the interview. A qualitative method by using interview were used. The data from interview were analysed by using thematic analysis from four respondents that meet the selection criteria. The result shows that happiness is comprises of five element which is physiology, psychology, spiritual, cognitive and social. All the elements need to be align with Allah’s commandment as when the element is connected with Allah, then the true happiness would be achieve. A Muslim understand that worldly happiness is just temporary and the eternal happiness are the one that should being pursue and lasting forever.
Pusat Islam Universiti Teknologi Malaysia merupakan salah satu rakan pungutan zakat kepada Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Johor. Sebanyak 31.25% pulangan zakat diberikan kepada PIUTM untuk diagihkan kepada asnaf gharim, fisabilillah, fakir, miskin dan amil. Namun begitu, PIUTM menghadapi masalah untuk mengenalpasti penggunaan wang bantuan zakat yang disalurkan kepada pelajar untuk bantuan sara diri, bantuan kecemasan dan bantuan latihan industri. Justeru itu, kajian ini bertujuan mengenalpasti penggunaan wang bantuan zakat dalam kalangan asnaf. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kuantitatif melalui tinjauan soal selidik secara dalam talian kepada 401 orang responden. Analisis dokumen turut digunakan sebagai data sokongan data yang diperolehi. Kajian ini menghasilkan profil latar belakang penerima zakat dan pola penggunaan wang bantuan zakat. Kajian turut mendapati tiga pola utama pengunaan wang zakat iaitu belanja makan minum, keperluan harian dan membantu keluarga. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan dapat dikemukakan sebagai panduan bagi memantapkan pengurusan dan pentadbiran zakat yang melibatkan proses kutipan zakat, agihan zakat dan program pembangunan kendiri asnaf.
The act of worship in Islam is a form of submission and a Muslim's manifestation of servitude to Allah SWT. Yet, it also offers certain rewards and benefits to human psychology. The purpose of this article is to explain how Zakat (Islamic charity), or the giving of alms to the poor or those in need, can help improve one's psychological well-being. The study found that sincerity and understanding the wisdom of Zakat are the two important elements for improving psychological well-being among Muslim believers. This is because Zakat can foster many positive attitudes such sincerity, compassion, and gratitude. Moreover, Zakat can also prevent negative traits like greed, arrogance, and selfishness. Therefore, Zakat, performed with sincerity and philosophical understanding can be used as a form treatment for neurosis patients. It is hoped that this article can serve as a guideline for psychologists and counsellors in how to treat Muslim neurosis patients.
Worship in Islam is a form of obedience and manifestation of a Muslim's bondage to Allah SWT. However, worship also has certain advantages or benefits to the soul. This article aims to explain how zakat be able to improve the soul well-being. The method used by analyzing the views of Islamic scholars on the advantages of zakat practice. In addition, the Qur'anic verses and Hadiths are used to reinforce the argument. This article found that sincerity and understanding of the purpose of zakat are two significant elements in order to improve the soul. As such, zakat cultivated positive attitudes, such as sincerity, compassion and gratitude. On the contrary, zakat can avoid negative attitudes, such as greedy, arrogant and selfish. Therefore, sincerely and understanding the purpose of zakat can be used as one form of treatment for non-psychotic mental patients. This article is intended to provide guidance and enlightment to psychologists, counselors and counselors to treat patients in the Muslim community.
