Personality is a dynamic organization of psychophysical systems within individual which determine specific behaviors and thoughts, such as being diligent and patient. Many contemporary psychologists believe that there are five basic dimensions of personality, known as the Big Five Theory. The five broad personality traits described by the theory are extraversion, agreeableness, openness, conscientiousness, and neuroticism. The study aims to identify the five theories briefly. This qualitative study uses content analysis as the instrument for collecting data. All in all, personality can be defined as a dynamic and organized set of characteristics possess by a person that uniquely influence his or her cognitions, motivations, and behaviors in various situations.
This article aims to measure the level of career self-efficacy among secondary school students. It determines whether the variable of career self-efficacy could be correlated to the variable of study streams. A total of 1060 respondents had been selected by systematic cluster random samplings from 106 national secondary schools in Terengganu. This survey used a set of questionnaires that consists of two parts: (i) Demographic information (ii) Career Self-efficacy that had been tested and has high levels of validity and reliability with alpha cronbach value was 0.95. The data obtained had been analyzed using descriptive analysis that included t-Test, mean, and standard deviation to meet the research objectives. The result showed that the level of students' career self-efficacy is significantly different in accordance with their study streams. It could be concluded that the level of career self-efficacy among the students has been influenced by their study stream. Hence, any career guidance and counseling activities should consider the factor of study streams.
Purpose: University placement test is an important admission policy priority in Nigeria, because it serves as a university-based selection criterion for placement of students into undergraduate programs in Nigeria. Although recently attention have been shifted on the call to develop a standard content and standardize the test, yet attention has not been paid on the development of standard setting in which the decisions to select or reject the applicants are made. This study; therefore, investigated the application Rasch-based Objective Standard Setting (OSS) to establish the standards in a university placement test.
Anxiety represents as a psychological problem and exists inside every soul. This is a normal feeling. Nevertheless, extreme anxiety will increase problems. Such situation requires a solution to prevent it from spreading among the communities today. Therefore, the article attempts to highlight anxiety therapy by practising al-Fatiha as an alternative spiritual remedy. This sura is selected because it has a lot of privileges. In the meantime, the article tries to answer a question on how to overcome anxiety trouble through an alternative way?. Data are collected through qualitative method by exploring documents, books, articles, past studies and interviews. The tool to analyse the data is content analysis and is described descriptively.The findings show that al-Fatiha has positive impact on those who practice it. Hence, al-Fatiha persists a beneficial remedy as an alternative to cure anxiety.
