The Faculty of Economics and Business Islamic University of Nahdlatul Ulama Jepara, three years ago has given soft skills training to new students. Therefore, to find out the effectiveness of these activities then need to evaluation student’s soft skill. Evaluation is done by giving questionnaires to respondents that contain statements relating to the attributes of soft skills. Soft skill attributes used in this study include five attributes: critical thinking, creativity, team work, communication skills and time management. The population of this research is 1.287 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business for the year 2015/2016 to 2017/2018, using the Slovin formula with alpha 10%, a sample of 93 students was obtained. Data analysis in this study uses descriptive statistics then the categorization of soft skiil capabilities was carried out.The method of determining the category of students' soft skills is based on the calculation of the highest average with the lowest average. The results of the study show that the five soft skill attributes examined are in the very good category. Students of the 2016 Faculty of Economics and Business have better soft skills than students in 2015 and 2017. Based on existing majors, students majoring in management have better soft skills than accounting and Islamic economics.
Objective: This study explores the characteristics and leadership style of kiai (boarding school leader and Islamic teacher) Manshur as a leader in the pondok pesantren (Islamic boarding school) that he fostered. Kiai Manshur’s leadership traits are also explored in this study in detail with in-depth analysis. Research Design & Methods: Several qualitative approaches were used to collect information about Kiai Manshur, including direct observation, questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Technically, involve themselves and interact directly in the activities carried out by Kiai Manshur. The information is analyzed interactively, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Findings: The results of this study indicated that Kiai Manshur uses a special compilation in leading his pondok pesantren to form a distinctive leadership style. The style created the his leadership characteristics, including integrity, discipline, competence, trustworthiness, humanism, communication, and organizational. The leadership style of Kiai Manshur aims to produce anfa’linnas santri (good and helpful student). Implications & Recommendations: There is no perfect writing, but the limitations do not reduce the quality of the results study. Further research can discuss more about the anfa’linnas students, characteristics and effectiveness of application in the society. Contribution & Value Added: The results of this study provide a scientific contribution to leadership in organizations, especially in non-profit organizations such as Islamic boarding schools (traditional educational institutions) and the concept of anfa’ linnas student. Practically, the board of Islamic boarding schools and teachers can use these findings as material to develop the institution for the benefit of many people.
Community service activities for BUMDes Tegal Makmur in managing SOP. One of the BUMDes that has been running quite well is the BUMDes Tegal Sambi, Annual District of Jepara. Where in 2017, Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) inaugurated the Tegal Makmur Shop. In 2017, Rp60 million was disbursed for the physical construction of the store. Issues discussed in the management unit, BUMDes are administrative aspects, organizational aspects, and HR aspects. The solutions offered are 1) improvement and administration program, 2) Organization Strengthening Program, 3) BUMDes HR Improvement Program. The Implementation Method is carried out in three panes: 1) Preparation, 2) Implementation, and 3) approval. The result of this service is that the SOP which is used as a purpose of service can be developed and used in the business activities of partners. The benefits of SOP have also been felt by partners.
