Characteristic of public transport service in a city could be different one and another because of passenger itself. Passengers with their experience explained more about service from bus. This research has aim to know service performance from Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP) based from customer perspective. Factor Analysis and Gap analysis used to know dominating parameter that represent it. The result showed students and employees (77.96 %) dominated for passenger group using Trans Metro Pekanbaru. All of customer perception could divide by three group among other psychological factor, primary needs service, and transit place factor. Psychological factor became highest opportunity to represent positive value of Trans Metro performance with level of service reach until 97.23 % compared by its expectation. On the other side, transit place factor was only has 81.5 % performance, thus it became primary focus for TMP to improve their performance to better service quality in the future.
Walkability index is an assessment of pedestrians through the physical condition of a sidewalk facility. Sukaramai Plaza is located in the CBD (Central Business District) Area of Pekanbaru City. This area has become an attractions for the people of Pekanbaru and other areas. As for the movement that occurs not only the movement of vehicles in the lane of vehicles, but also pedestrians. Evaluation of pedestrian paths is needed to provide an input regarding the comfortability for pedestrian. This study aims to evaluate the sidewalk in the Sukaramai Plaza area on Jalan Sudirman, Pekanbaru. Sidewalk in this area is divided by 4 segments. The parameters used are the physical condition for pedestrians about 9 parameters of the physical condition of the sidewalk for each segment. The results showed that sidewalk has a walkability score in the range of 50-70 which is a good enough category to walk. In addition, the results of this study also showed that the presence of a shop window above the sidewalk making difficult for pedestrian. Therefore, the results will contribute primarily to the pedestrian pathway provider and the government as a regulator to improve pedestrian facilities, especially in the city of Pekanbaru.
[EN] An intersection is a part of a road a where currents from different directions of direction meet. That is why at the instersection there is conflict between current from opposite directions and and intersecting each other, resulting in congestion along the arms of the intersection. Likewise, at the intersection of four arms without a signal at Sibuhuan Market, Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra, there was a congestion caused by the reduction in the effective width of the road due to parking on the road. At the intersection of four arms without a signal at Sibuhuan Market, Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra, there is a congestion caused by side obstacles, a high vehicle population that is not matched by the availability of adequate infrastructure (infrastructure) so that this study aims to analyze the performance of the four-arm intersection. based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997 and analyzes intersections to improve the performance of these unmarked intersections. The analysis of the results showed that the intersection performance for the unsigned intersection conditions in the existing condition with the parking on the side of the road which reduced the effective width, the maximum total flow was 2341 pcu / hour, capacity (C) = 2707.06 pcu / hour, and the degree of saturation ( DS) = 0.86, intersection delay (D) = 14.62 seconds / pcu and queuing opportunity (QP) 30.03 - 59.32%. Therefore it is necessary to recalculate with various alternatives so that the DS value meets the requirements of the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual, which is <0.75.
The effectiveness and efficiency of public transport should be a priority for transportation in developing cities. Despite the efforts from the government to improve public transportation, in Jakarta City, Indonesia, there is still 9.93% increase of private vehicles annually per year. In detail, contributor for increasing vehicles in Jakarta is motorcycles with an average annual increase of 10.54% every year, followed by an increase in the percentage of passenger cars by 8.75%. In contrast, the number of public transportation increased only by 1.74%. This research did the evaluation for public transport service in Jakarta by availability and accessibility for them. Neighborhood analysis and Proximity analysis used in this research. The results of the research showed that major problems in public transportations in Jakarta City are the coverage area of the service, route connectivity, and its accessibility for public facilities. There are only 7.78% for coverage area by flexible bus stop service with average walking distance by 300 m. Thus, there are some areas that are not passed by public transport routes, for about 18.5 million people live in blank spot area.
