This study aims to describe a design of management of school literacy programs (SLP) at a Junior High School, East Java, Indonesia and describe teachers' and students' responses about SLP in the school. This method is a descriptive-explorative research which collects data from questionnaires and unstructured interviews. This study used the SLP management design through sequential stages that need assessment, planning, organizing, actuating or implementation, and controlling (monitor and evaluation). Data from 20 students and 5 teachers were analyzed by percentage and qualitative analysis including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the study illustrate the SLP management design that is quite effective because it involves all the components in the school and selected management behaviors tend to be supportive-facilitative. Teachers and students tend to respond positively to the SLP although there are several aspects that need to be improved such as the use of technology and the productivity of the work of students or teachers.
This research aims to produce a prototype of Signalong Indonesia based children's song animation video media for children with special needs as a solution for children with special needs in delays or communication constraints. Signalong media as a medium to facilitate the communication style of each individual. Moreover, Signalong Indonesia helps the understanding and interaction of children with special needs in communicating with others, teachers, parents or the surrounding community. Mr. Mustache and Friends this can provide effective and inclusive educational shows with animated videos for all people, especially Indonesian children. This study uses a Research and Development development model with the following development procedures. The results of this research and development are in the form of a prototype of an animated video media that has gone through a feasibility test in the form of a validation test, a media expert, a material expert, a product trial and a product revision stage so that the media is included in the appropriate category of use. INTRODUCTIONCommunication of children with special needs has different characteristics in how to communicate [1], [2]. Communication characteristics of children with special needs who experience obstacles in communication barriers, how to communicate using sign language, on motor barriers how to communicate using symbol communication media, and on intellectual barriers how to communicate using symbols [3]. Children with special needs need more media to communicate. The media can be in the form of signs and symbols. Conditions such as those described above have been more than five years in the UK have been carried out in-depth studies and solutions to overcome these problems by optimizing sign communication skills so that all children with special needs more easily understand communication messages. Signalong Indonesia's communication is already in the form of a dictionary but is more effective if it is developed in the form of a themed video making it easier for children with special needs, parents and the community, in general, can learn easily so as to overcome communication barriers [4], [5].The purpose of this research is to develop animated videothemed through Indonesian children's songs. Abdi Theological College Trawas-Mojokerto or abbreviated as STTIAA Trawas, is a higher education institution that is engaged in preparing its graduates to become spiritual leaders in several churches. This research aims to understand and deepen the symptoms of a group of students at STTIAA Trawas related to their character while staying on campus. This is a social phenomenon as well as a problem related to the individual human being. Second, this research uses a theoretical framework that can shape or influence the study being researched. This research uses a qualitative design. Based on the research background, the research focus is generally stated: (1) The boarding-based Christian character education curriculum at Abdi-Allah Theological College Trawas-Mojokerto; and (2) The implementation strategy for the hostel-based Christian character education curriculum at the Abdi-Allah Theology College Trawas-Mojokerto. So that, the conclusions of this research remarks 1) The management of Christian character education curriculum that influences Dormitory Abdi Theological High School Trawas-Mojokerto are: Holiness (85.42% good), Love (82.17% good), and Commitment (71.83% good). Thus, the students’ lifestyle based on dormitory dominated by Holiness, Love, and Commitment is significant; 2) The management of Christian character education curriculum can affect the students’ lifestyle based on dormitory in which character transmission occurs without competition among group members as follows (a) Moral knowing, (b) Moral feeling, (c) Moral behavior.
