This research aimeds to find out (1) the effect of interactive multimedia on the learning interest, (2) the effect of interactive multimedia on the learning achievement, (3) the different effect of interactive multimedia and image media on the learning interest and learning achievement of grade IV students of elementary schools in Wonosari Gunungkidul. This research was a quasi experimental. The design which was used was pretest-postest control group design with two experimental groups taught by using interactive multimedia and one control group using the image media. The data analysis used the paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The result of the research showed that: (1) there was an effect of interactive multimedia on the learning interest at the significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, (2) there was an effect of interactive multimedia on the learning achievement at the significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, and (3) the big different effect of interactive multimedia and image media on the learning interest and learning achievement was the learning interest with the gained score 10.412 for the experimental class 1 and 13.004 the experimental class 2, and the learning achievement with the gained score 8.703 the experimental class 1 and 6.810 the experimental class 2.
This paper describes professional identity of counselor educators teaching in a counselor profession education in Indonesia. The counselor identitiy was explored using a self-reported semi-open questionnaire and a focus-group discussion. Using the questionnaire, the couselors self-assessed their competency level of 75 competence-statement based on the government’s regulation. Their self-assessed level of competencies was compared to factors like age, teaching experiences, professional development as well as their self-efficacy toward the counselor competencies mandated by the government. To confirm the survey findings, a focus-group discussion was held and revealed culture-specific competencies that were not explicated in the regulation but deemed an important characteristic of the counselors’ identity. The study found that the counselors described themselves having average level of the mandated competencies and developing culture-specific competency related to technology literacy. The findings provide recommendation to set up context-suited professional development training that prepare the counselors for teaching in the profession training.
Thisstudyaimstodeterminethepercentageofinterpersonalcommunicationskillsand studentself-confidencethatisownedbyjuniorhighschoolstudents.Themethodused in this research is survey method. Data collection used interpersonal communication and confidence scales given to 100 students of Muhammadiyah Pakem Senior High School School selected by using proportioned cluster - random sampling technique. The findings of this study indicated that there were still many students who had low communication and confident skills. This was indicated by the percentage value of 57% of students having low interpersonal communication skills and 59% of students had low self-confidence. The intervention that could be given was to provide group guidance services with psychodrama role playing techniques to enhance the students’ interpersonal communication skills and self-confidence.
Abstrak: Pengembangan Model Bimbingan Klasikal untuk MeningkatkanMotivasi Belajar Siswa SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model bimbingan klasikal untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMP di Kulon Progo Yogyakarta dan mengetahui efektivitas modelnya. Pendekatan penelitian adalah Research and Development dengan subjek penelitian siswa dan guru bimbingan dan konseling. Metode pengumpulan data adalah angket bimbingan klasikal dan inventori motivasi belajar. Analisis data menggunakan uji t dan deskriptif. Bimbingan klasikal dilaksanakan melalui interaksi edukatif, menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, media film, LCD, hand out, papan tulis, terjadwal sepuluh pertemuan, disusun satuan layanan dengan topik delapan faktor instriksik motivasi belajar siswa. Uji efektivitas model menggunakan pretest dan posttest motivasi belajar siswa. Secara keluruhan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan klasikal efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMP di Kulon Progo dengan kontribusi peningkatan 44,99%. This study aims at developing model of classroom guidance for improving learning motivation and measuring its effectiveness in increasing learning motivation of students of Junior High Schools in Kulon Progro, Yogyakarta. The study is Research and Development. The subjects involve students and Guidance and Counseling teachers. The data were collected using questionnaires of classroom guidance and an inventory of learning motivation, and analyzed descriptively and through T-test. The classroom guidance was conducted through educative interaction, delivered through lectures comprising question -answer and discussion. The guidance utilized film media, LCD, handout and whiteboard. It was scheduled for 10 sessions, within 8 units of classroom guidance services. The model was examined for its effectiveness using pretest and posttest of learning motivation. Overall, the finding shows that the classroom guidance is effective in improving learning motivation of students of Junior High Schools in Kulon Progo Yogyakarta with 44.99% rise.
