Reflective thinking is a must-have skill to connect the knowledge obtained with previous knowledge and can be seen from learning achievement. This study aims to prove and determine the relationship between reflective thinking and learning achievement and its effect size. This study used a quantitative meta-analysis method. Reflective thinking is the independent variable and learning achievement is the dependent variable. The data sources were obtained from online database searches on Google Scholar and international journal platforms from 2012 to 2021. Based on the search, 22 research publications met the predetermined criteria through a strict screening. Quantitative meta-analysis with correlation meta-analysis type was used to analyze the data. The software used was JASP 0.8 4.0. The results showed that this research Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between reflective thinking and student achievement (z = 8.139; p < 0.001; 95%CI [0.400; 0.654]). The effect of reflective thinking on student achievement was in the medium category (rRE = 0.527). The findings are consistent with those of previous research on reflective thinking skills and learning achievement.
The main purpose of this study is to compare the efficiency performance of high school education in Indonesia based on its specialization groups, namely natural and social sciences. This study uses secondary data of high school published by Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia in 2016 which covers general description such as the numbers of schools, students, teachers, graduates, classes, et cetera. This study uses a bootstrap approach that is applied in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, which compares the efficiency of each Decision Making Unit (DMU). To compare its efficiency, as many as 34 provinces are used as DMUs by using six input variables, namely the number of participants of national exam, students, schools, teachers, libraries, and the number of classrooms. The output variables are the number of graduates, the average score of national exam in Indonesian, English, and mathematics.The results indicate that all provinces have very good performance in organizing high school education for both natural and social sciences where the average efficiency scores of the traditional DEA are .99 and .98 for natural and social sciences, respectively. Meanwhile, its average scores from bootstrapped DEA are .98 and .96 for natural and social sciences, respectively. The empirical results also reveal that bootstrapped DEA provides better accuracy of efficiency scores than the traditional DEA. Overall, the provinces in Indonesia have better performance in organizing natural science than social science. PERBANDINGAN EFISIENSI KINERJA SEKOLAH JURUSAN ILMU ALAM DAN SOSIAL:BOOTSTRAPPING DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS Abstrak: Tujuan utama penelitian adalah untuk membandingkan efisiensi kinerja pendidikan sekolah menengah di Indonesia berdasarkan kelompok penjurusan, yaitu ilmu alam dan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder sekolah menengah yang dipublikasikan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia pada tahun 2016 yang mencakup gambaran umum seperti jumlah sekolah, siswa, guru, lulusan, kelas, dan lain-lain. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan bootstrap yang diterapkan pada metode Data envelopment Analysis (DEA), yang membandingkan efisiensi tiap unit pengambilan keputusan (DMU). Untuk membandingkan efisiensi kinerja, sebanyak 34 provinsi digunakan sebagai DMU dengan menggunakan enam variabel input, yaitu jumlah peserta ujian nasional, siswa, sekolah, guru, perpustakaan, dan jumlah ruang kelas. Variabel output yang digunakan adalah jumlah lulusan, nilai rata-rata ujian bahasa Indonesia, bahasa Inggris, dan matematika. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa semua provinsi memiliki kinerja yang sangat baik dalam menyelenggarakan pendidikan sekolah menengah untuk ilmu alam dan sosial dengan skor rata-rata efisiensi DEA tradisional masing-masing 0,99 dan 0,98 untuk ilmu alam dan sosial. Scientific literacy is a vital program for current generation of students in the whole world. The purpose of this study is to estimate the impact of students’ social behaviors on scientific literacy by using robust regression. A robust approach is applied to overcome the weaknesses of the ordinary least squares (OLS) regression model. The method is believed to produce better accuracy of estimation. This study applies a survey method conducted by using 200 research subjects which are randomly selected at a university in Indonesia. There are two instruments used, namely questionnaire sheets using a Likert scale and test sheets. There are four categories used in this study to measure the students’ social behaviors, which are cooperation (X1), assertiveness (X2), self-control (X3) and pro-social behaviors toward peers (X4). The analysis results reveal that all of independent variables have positive and significant impact on students’ scientific literacy (Y). Furthermore, the highest impact is collaboration (X1) and the lowest impact is pro-social behavior towards peers (X4), where the robust regression coefficients are .262 and .238, respectively.
<p>Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan secara mendalam tentang implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada jenjang sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kebumen, (2) mendeskripsikan secara rinci permasalahan dan alternatif solusinya dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada jenjang sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kebumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus di wilayah Kabupaten Kebumen pada tahun 2017. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 40 sekolah dasar yang telah melaksanakan kurikulum 2013. Teknik Pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan forum grup diskusi. Sumber data meliputi siswa, guru, dan kepala sekolah. Analisis datanya menggunakan analisis kualitatif, yaitu pengumpulan data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada jenjang sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kebumen menapai 68,3%. (2) permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah: (a) kelengkapan, keterbacaan, kegrafikan, dan ketepatan waktu pengadaan buku siswa, (b) kesesuaian, kelengkapan, keterbacaan, dan ketepatan pengadaan buku guru, (c) materi pelatihan, kompetensi instruktur, dan alokasi waktu pelatihan guru, (d) pemahaman buku teks, pencapaian Kompetensi Inti, dan pendekatan Saintifik pada proses pembelajaran, (e) pemahaman tentang konsep dan prosedur penilaian, (f) manajemen sekolah, (g) layanan bantuan kesulitan belajar, peminatan, konseling, dan administrasi kesiswaan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut telah direkomendasikan alternatif solusi sesuai dengan jenis permasalahannya.</p>
