Waduk merupakan danau alam yang memiliki fungsi utama sebagai menampung debit air dan irigasi. Waduk mempunyai potensi ekonomi apabila dijadikan tempat wisata. Waduk yang ada di Balikpapan selatan yang memiliki potensi dikembangkan. Kawasan waduk saat ini belum maksimal apabila akan dijadikan tempat wisata edukasi. Dikarenakan sarana dan prasaran belum memadahi, terdapat 2 tempat sampah dan kondisinya tidak layak karena sudah rusak, tidak ada peta petunjuk arah dan nama-nama pohon belum teridentifikasi. Tujuan melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah menjadikan kawasan Bendali menjadi wisata alam edukasi yang asri dan nyaman ketika dikunjungi. Metode untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut meliputi identifikasi masalah, perencanaan konsep melalui FGD, dan melakukan penerapan wisata alam berbasis edukasi. Hasil dari kegiatan atau capaian dari pengabdian tersebut meliputi terpasangnya papan petunjuk atau papan peringatan (display) seperti himbauan “Dilarang Membuang Sampah Sembarangan” sebanyak 5 titik, telah tersedia tempat sampah sebanyak 5 buah disertai tipe sampah di titik orang berkumpul, pemberian tag name disertai barcode pada pohon yang berada di area waduk. Waduk bendali II mempunyai media sosial sebagai alat promosi yang full power dalam menjangkau semua kalangan pengguna medsos. Dengan dilakukan kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut, wisata alam berbasis edukasi dapat terwujud, pengunjung semakin meningkat, dan wisatawan lebih sadar dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan.
The presence of defects is a sign that the level of quality is not good enough. In this paper, we will discuss root cause analysis in the manufacturing process. In addition to analyzing the root of the problem, there are usually conditions called contradictions. Contradiction means a condition in which positive and negative effect simultaneously occur at the same time. Therefore, the Root Conflict Analysis (RCA+) has been adopted to find the root cause of the problem and at the same time identify the contradictions. Implementation of this method is carried out on the drilling process of composite fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP). Based on the results, it was found that there are 3 causes of problems in the drilling process, high cutting speed, high feed rate and large point angle. As well as found several contradictions, regarding drilling productivity, tool temperature, thrust force during the process and drill burr.
With the policy of learning from home, the role of information technology become more important. The use of technology in online learning can provide new learning experiences for students. There are several online learning application platforms available and the most popular platforms are Zoom Meeting application and Google Meet. In using the online learning platform, usability aspect is one the most important things. Usability is a measure of the quality of the user experience when interacting with the user-operated device application with the perceived expectations. The purpose of this study is to compare usability satisfaction of Google Meet and Zoom Meeting application using Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and GAP analysis. The Customer Satisfaction Index is measured from the five usability aspects of learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. Meanwhile, the GAP Analysis is measured based on the perception and expectations of the user of Google Meet and Zoom Meeting application. The result shows that Google Meet has a higher level of usability satisfaction compared to Zoom Meeting application. Google Meet has a usability satisfaction level of 84.29%, meanwhile Zoom Meeting has a usability satisfaction level of 76.67%. The results of GAP analysis on both platforms show that the users made a lot of errors when using Google Meet and find it difficult when using Zoom Meeting application for the first time.
Arsy Bakery is one of the MSMEs located in Karang Joang, Balikpapan. This bakery produces five types of bread: white bread, sweat bread, mocha bread, cheese chocolate bread, and three-flavored bread. Arsy bakery could produce approximately 4000 loaves of bread weekly. This study aims to calculate the quantity of physical workload of Arsy bakery workers based on Full Time Equivalent (FTE) method and determine the ideal number of workers required. FTE is a workload analysis method that measures the length of time to complete the tasks in production process. The workload quantity for every worker is obtained based on the time measurements and calculation results. Based on the results of this study, the amount of workload that carried out by Worker 1 is 1.67, meanwhile the amount of workload carried out by Worker 2 is 1.60. These values show that both workers can be categorized as overload. The total FTE value for two workers is 3.27 which means that there should be 3 employees to finish Worker 1 and Worker 2 tasks. In conclusion, Arsy Bakery needs to recruit 1 new employee to reduce high workload of the current employees.
Quality control is a system and activities to ensure quality standards in accordance with planned specifications. Quality control is also one of the important things that can affect the company’s image for consumers. Balikpapan center is one of the biggest shopping centers in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, at present there are 37 hijab traders on the same floor, resulting in trade competition. A good strategy is needed to be able to sell comfortably, where this strategy will minimize the risks that can arise. One method used is failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA). The use of FMEA can be used to identify risks and risk factors and obtain the value of potential failure, so that the greatest failure risk experienced by traders can be identified. The purpose of this research is to analyze the failure factors in the hijab industry, use the FMEA method, determine the risk of failure value in the risk priority number (RPN), and provide improvement plans for traders.. The results showed that there were 3 risk classifications, 12 risk factors, and 15 risk mitigation strategies.
