The qualified human resources with high competitiveness and employability skills are needed to face the era of technological disruption, but employers find a lack of expertise among job seekers. Insufficient skills are related to the issue of education quality. This study aims to identify the employers’ employability skills needed in the career field and the way to integrate it into the instructional process. The research was conducted through Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and mapping approach that consisted of three stages: planning, conducting, and reporting. The literature reviews in this research were derived from Science direct, Springer and IEEE as the main references. The results from the analysis in the literature review showed that employability skills are needed in relation to the work demands in the future according to the employers covering communication, team working, problem solving, and technological skills. The implementation of employability skills in the instructional process is to integrate them into the classroom for all subjects.
Purpose of the study: The purpose of this review is to determine the extent to which the effective use of multi-media in strengthening character education to help students understand the character values contained in the subject matter.
Methodology: The method used is a literature review of the results of previous studies, which are related to improving character education in schools. The components of the literature review that became the center of attention include a) multi-media development, b) strengthening character education, c) and the relationship between multi-media development and strengthening character education.
Main Findings: The findings indicate that effective multi-media reinforcement of character education is significantly assisting students in comprehending the implicit learning goals included in the lessons taught in terms of values by character building.
Application of this study: The implication is to develop multi-media strengthening character education (KDP) in elementary schools will be able to form individuals who have the character to be a golden generation of Indonesia in 2045 with 21st-century skills.
Novelty/Originality of this study: Multimedia development is used so that character learning in the world of education can run effectively. The development of multi-media reinforcement of character education (PPK) requires synergy between teacher understanding, school infrastructure, and student participation in receiving learning material.
In the 21<sup>st</sup> century, the pre-service science teachers faced on extremely global competitiveness, globalization, technologically driven by information and rapidly media-saturated that needs appropriate skills to meet these challenges. The aims of this study is to identify pre-service science teacher perception about high order thinking skills (HOTs) in 21<sup>st</sup> century. This study employed quantitative design using a survey research method involved 120 pre-service science teachers from Tanjungpura University. The results of this study indicated that prospective science teachers have an awareness of the importance of HOTs and their also knowing that the learning do emphasized on the aspects of HOTs is essential to face the challenges of the 21<sup>st</sup> century. It is indicated by the mean score of pre-service science teacher perception about the important of HOTs to meet the challenges in the 21<sup>st</sup> century (M = 4.29, SD = 0.61) and the skills of HOT that their will be required to becomes a teacher in the 21<sup>st</sup> century (M = 4.31; SD = 0.47) in the high level. This result provides the reasons why we need cultivating a positive awareness of the importance of HOTs in order to fostering the need for teaching that emphasizes the aspects of HOTs during pre-service education.
