The number of working mothers has increased significantly in the last decade. Working mothers have a dual role, as caregivers of children and earn a living. The role of a worker adds to the burden and affects the psychological well-being of the mother. Psychological well-being is an indicator of an individual's mental health. Social support are important factors in the psychological well-being of working mothers. The purpose of this study was to analyze relationship between social support and psychological well-being of working mothers. This research used correlational cross sectional study design. 374 working mother in Sidoarjo East Java were taken using accidental sampling technique. Variable was measured using Multidimentional Scale of Perceived Social Support questionair and Ryff’s Scale Psychological Well-Being questionair. Variables were analyzed by pearson correlation. The result of this research showed that social support have significant correlation with psychological well-being (p value 0,000). These results explain the importance of social support factors in improving the psychological well-being of working mothers.
Masalah kesejahteraan hidup merupakan fenomena yang sering terjadi pada kehidupan ibu pekerja akibat adanya peran yang berlebih. Terapi Kelompok Terapeutik (TKT) usia dewasa merupakan pendekatan kegiatan kelompok pada ibu pekerja yang akan diteliti efektifitasnya dalam mempengaruhi kesejahteraan ibu pekerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis efektifitas terapi kelompok terapeutik terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif dan psikologis pada ibu pekerja. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan rancangan quasi experiment. Jumlah sampel adalah 62 orang yang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Pengambilan sampel dengan metode purposive sampling pada ibu pekerja di wilayah Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Variabel dianalisis dengan paired t test dan independent t test. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terapi kelompok terapeutik usia dewasa terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan subjektif dan psikologis ibu pekerja (p value: 0,000). Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada pelayanan keperawatan jiwa masyarakat maupun perusahaan yang mempekerjakan ibu rumah tangga untuk menyediakan pelayanan kesehatan jiwa serta dilaksanakannya terapi kelompok terapeutik dalam membantu ibu pekerja mencapai kesejahteraan subjektif dan psikologis.Kata kunci : terapi kelompok terapeutik; kesejahteraan; ibu pekerja
Pendahuluan : Dampak pandemi Covid-19 mempengaruhi interaksi sosial di kalangan mahasiswa dan kesejahteraan psikologisnya. Community of Inquiry (COI) telah mengidentifikasi tiga elemen berbeda yang penting dalam menunjang terlaksananya kelas online untuk pembelajaran yang optimal, diantaranya kehadiran sosial (social presecence), kehadiran kognitif (cognitive presence) dan kehadiran mengajar (teaching presence). Tujuan: untuk menganalisis faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi gangguan Kesehatan mental mahasiswa keperawatan dalam pembelajaran daring selama pandemic Covid-19. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sejumlah 278 mahasiswa direkrut dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling, dengan menggunakan kuesioner DASS-21 dan CoI Survey, menggunakan uji regresi logistik. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan usia menjadi salah satu faktor yang menimbulkan stres dengan sig <0,030 (OR=1,4). Disusul dengan social presence <0,002 (OR=53) dan cognitive presence merupakan faktor utama penyebab depresi dan ansietas pada mahasiswa dengan sig <0,001 (OR=6,9) dan <0,008 (OR=5,0). Kesimpulan: Faktor yang berhubungan dengan kesehatan mental mahasiswa pada kategori depresi dan ansietas adalah cognitive presence mahasiswa, sedangkan faktor yang berhubungan kesehatan mental mahasiswa pada kategori stres adalah usia dan social presence. Pengajar tidak hanya fokus pada salah satu komponen antara sosial presence, cognitive presence maupun teaching presence, sehingga mahasiswa dengan tipe apapun akan terfasilitasi dalam pembelajaran serta tidak akan mengalami gangguan Kesehatan mental baik ansietas, stress dan depresi
Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic causes learning activities to be carried out at home. Parents encounter obstacles in stimulating their child's development because they do not understand how to stimulate and tend to leave it to school. Preschoolers are in the initiative development stage that focus on exploring creativity. Initiative development is preparation for children to cope larger stressors at school age. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the effect of therapeutic group therapy on the parents’ ability to stimulate initiative development. Methods: This study used one group pre-postest design method. The sample was 32 parents of kindergarten and early childhood education students in Malang City. The independent variable was online therapeutic group therapy. The dependent variable was the parents’ ability to stimulate initiatives development. Results: The results indicated that the average score of the parents' ability to perform stimulation before therapeutic group therapy implementation was 44.19. After therapy, the average score increased to 55.84. Statistical test used Paired T-test showed that the p-value is 0.000 (p-value <0.05), so it can be concluded that therapeutic group therapy had a significant effect on the ability of parents to stimulate initiative development. Conclusions: This study recommends the importance of increasing the parents’ ability to stimulate the pre-school children's initiative development. The school can work together with health workers, especially mental nurses, in therapeutic group therapy activities to increase the parents’ active role in stimulating children's development, thereby optimizing children's psychosocial development.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the medical team, including nurses, have struggled in isolation rooms, helping patients. Isolation rooms pose a greater risk than regular treatment rooms and direct contact can increase the risk of infection. Nurses’ anxiety may be high; they may be worried not only about the risk of transmitting Covid-19 to themselves, but also to their families at home, especially for those who are in vulnerable groups. This study aimed to identify the anxiety level of nurses in the Covid-19 isolation room at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang Hospital. This was a descriptive observational study conducted from May 25 - June 3, 2021 with 16 nurses. The nurses’ anxiety was measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale Questionnaire. The results showed that 13 nurses (81.25%) in the Covid-19 isolation room had mild anxiety levels. Keywords: anxiety, nurse, Covid-19, isolation room
