Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menjelaskan mengenai gerakan sosial PCNU Kota Malang pada tahun 2010-2015 dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif.  Penelitian ini menggunakan teori gerakan sosial karya Mc Adam, Mc Charty dan Zald. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gerakan sosial Nahdlatul Ulama’ (NU) pada masa reformasi memiliki pola yang berbeda dengan masa sebelumnya. Pada masa reformasi, strategi gerakan NU mengedepankan tiga cara yakni melalui program struktural, dakwah, dan mediasi. Dengan melakukan studi kasus di PCNU Kota Malang penelitian ini menemukan bahwa gerakan NU di era reformasi muncul dan dapat eksis akibat adanya keterbukaan struktur sosial dan ketidakseimbangan politik di Kota Malang. Proses tersebut kemudian juga dikuatkan oleh kekuatan aktor perubahan PCNU Kota Malang yang meliputi: ulama’ (kyai), aktivis, politisi dan akademisi.

This article explores the network governance in the development of the Podokoyo Tourism Village, Pasuruan Regency. This study aims to analyze the application of the elements of network governance, which include trust, network goal consensus, need for network-level competencies, the number of participants, outputs, and outcomes of tourism Village development. The study results identify three achievements during the Podokoyo Tourism Village development network, such as the success of having superior Village products, increasing the capacity of Podokoyo Village's human resources in tourism management, and receiving the title of Maslahat Village. Among the obstacles is the lacking role of government elements, particularly the Tourism and Culture Agency and Community and Village Empowerment Agency.

The implementation of democracy intensified since the fall of the new order era has some failures. One of the factors is violence phenomena still continue in the region. This study aims to discuss the violence in the region by presenting cosmopolitan democracy as a new design of more humane democracy. In addition, this research method uses library research, because library research can understand the problem in-depth to find the pattern and recommendation from the violence problems which happens in Indonesia. This study uses Hannah Arendt observations on the phenomenon of violence. In addition, the concept of cosmopolitan democracy is referred from Daniele Archibugi, David Held, and Ulrich Beck is presented as a draft of new democracy direction which is more inclusive and humane. The result of this study discloses that the occurrence of incidence is triggered by failed implementation of the democratic system in Indonesia.
