AbstrakSemakin banyak penciptaan arsip oleh individu atau organisasi, ditambah pula dengan bentuk record yang mengalami perubahan dari cetak ke elektronik hingga ke bagian terkecilnya yaitu metadata. Metadata sendiri menjadi bagian dari sebuah record sebagai profil record tersebut. Maka dari itu, keperluan untuk melakukan record management metadata, khususnya bagi mahasiswa yang memiliki kebutuhan pencatatan referensi dan sitasi. Untuk membantu record management metadata, dapat menggunakan alat atau software yaitu reference management software, salah satunya bernama zotero. Tujuan artikel ini adalah menggambarkan manfaat record management untuk penulisan karya ilmiah bagi mahasiswa khususnya pada program studi biologi di UIN Malik Ibrahim Malang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskritpif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Untuk menambah kedalaman jawaban dari responden, kita menggunakan tambahan data dengan melakukan wawancara. Populasi yang dipilih adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2012 hingga 2014 sebanyak 322. Kriteria tersebut dipilih karena pengenalan dan penggunaan reference management software zotero dilakukan mulai tiga tahun tersebut. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan systematic random sampling. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 80, yang didadapat dari rumus yamane. Hasil penelitian ini didapat bahwa sebesar 70% menyatakan setuju bahwa menggunakan reference management software dapat menghemat waktu dan tenaga dalam menyimpan metadata file digital mereka, 71% menyatakan setuju apabila metadata digital dapat dengan cepat disimpan kedalam RMS, 65% menyatakan setuju mengenai kemudahan menyimpan metadata ke dalam reference management software, sebesar 70% menyatakan setuju ketika mendapatkan kemudahan mengkonfersikan metadata menjadi kutipan dan daftar pustaka, 56,6% menyatakan setuju bahwa metadata yang tersimpan di dalam reference management software dapat di edit, 73,8% menyakan setuju bahwa menggunakan metadata akan mempermudah penulisan kutipan dan daftar pustaka Kata kunci : manajemen rekod, metadata, perangkat lunak manajemen referensi, zotero
Background: In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, hoax news emerged which often caused people to panic and make wrong decisions. The emergence of this hoax is because many people are not literate with information, so they trust all the information that is circulating. People also do not have social awareness to filter the information they get. Objective: This article aims to present the results of the socialization of digital literacy education to anticipate hoax news. Method: The method used in this community service is to provide socialization on the dangers of hoaxes and literacy education digital to anticipate hoax news, then explain how to search for valid and accurate information. Results: The result of this community service activity was an increase in public understanding of how to find valid and accurate Covid-19 information / news. As well as people's understanding of how to differentiate between true and false information about Covid-19. Conclusion: This community service activity has a positive impact on increasing public understanding of the spread of Covid-19 news on the internet.
Along with the times, the library has a constraint for growth. Starting from bad mainset community to the library, to the internal unpreparedness to go forward, even coupled with the presence of the internet is increasingly replacing the library as a source of information. Based on these reasons, this study aims to provide an overview for the library in overcoming the internal problems by applying internal solutions of knowledge management as a trigger librarian to develop, where notabene is the main driver of the library to be ready to face the challenge. The method used in this study of literature from various scientific sources such as books, journal articles both in print and online. The results of this study showed that knowledge management can be used as a solution because it is essentially knowledge management applied to overcome the unpreparedness or internal problems, the functions and benefits not only for internal improvements by capturing knowledge stored by the employees and also for external, as a trigger ideas on issues faced. Steps that can be taken in the knowledge management to overcome the obstacles in the library that is, the first is the people, with the same perception and provides opportunities and visibility to the librarians to contribute in managerial activities. Second, is the process to run activities such as the establishment of knowledge sharing community of practice, providing training. However, it needs to be equipped with concrete steps such as scheduling, discussion topics and output to be generated. Third, is the technology to establish an online discussion space called knowledge management portal in scope and can only be accessed internally within the intranet. The above results can be a recommendation for the library to be done as routine as possible in the hope of minimizing the unpreparedness of libraries face the challenges of the development of the information age.
PurposeThis study aims to describe digital literacy (DL) and heutagogy and examine the relationship between the two.Design/methodology/approachThis study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The respondents were students at a college in Indonesia. The respondents were students at a college in Indonesia. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to students via a Google form. Furthermore, the data were processed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).FindingsFrom a demographic profile, the study describes that students choose Google to search for information rather than to the library, the most used gadget is a smartphone, the average access to information is 2–7 h per day and the purpose of information access is to do assignments. The results of the statistical tests show there is a relationship between heutagogy learning and DL.Research limitations/implicationsThis study will help policymakers to develop DL in a vocational school.Originality/valueThis research will contribute to the improvement and implementation of heutagogy learning emphasis on a DL case study in Indonesia. This research can assist policymakers in preparing DL skills in heutagogy learning in vocational school. This research will add new literature, methodology and framework on heutagogy learning and DL to library and information management field.
Digital technology is developing very rapidly and touching all sectors of life, including the world of education. Efforts to improve the digital skills of the community, especially the younger generation, have begun to minimize negative content that has flooded the digital space. The Covid-19 pandemic The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digital transformation in Indonesia. This study aims to describe and measure the level of digital literacy among vocational students in the pandemic era. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The object that became the research target were all active students of the Vocational Faculty, Airlangga University. The sampling method in this study used purposive random sampling. Data collection in this study used a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires. The data extracted to determine the level of digital literacy of students includes technology, ethics and cognitive. The data obtained were then analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results showed that students' digital literacy skills were in the high category. Regarding the online learning format for vocational education, research findings mention the need for digital literacy education for students. The results of the research can be used as recommendations to improve the quality of vocational education with online/online formats and materials for making digital literacy education modules for students.
