Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberi pemahaman mengenai penggunaan mendeley dalam artikel ilmiah pada dosen fakultas teknik ITBU. Dengan pengenalan ini para dosen diharapkan dapat memberi pemahaman mengenai penggunaan aplikasi mendeley dalam artikel ilmiah secara komprehensif dan terlibat aktif dalam penulisan penelitian dengan sesama rekan dosen, mahasiswa dan semua pihak yang terkait. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dibagi ke dalam tiga langkah pelaksanaan kegiatan (workshop): (1) practical guidelines and tips on how to write at national accredited journal,(2) introducing mendeley, and (3) practice of mendeley ini diharapkan dapat menambah pengalaman belajar yang baru bagi para dosen. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mayoritas para dosen dapat informasi dan pengetahuan baru mengenai aplikasi pengutipan dan sitasi mendeley ini. Dampak positif dirasakan oleh para dosen dari kegiatan pelatihan yang diselenggarakan dengan tujuan memudahkan penulisan pengutipan dan sitasi pada artikel ilmiah. Antusiasme yang positif dan rasa ingin tahu para dosen ditunjukkan secara interaktif selama kegiatan pelaksanaan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berjalan dengan lancar sesuai dengan harapan serta terjalin komunikasi yang baik antara pihak mitra dengan tim pelaksana.Kata Kunci: jurnal bereputasi, mendeley, karya ilmiah Mendeley: Citation in Writing Scientific Articles in Reputable JournalsABSTRACTCurrently, some lecturers have not been able to make citations automatically using the application. This can be seen from several articles published in journals. One application that makes it easier to write citations internationally is Mendeley. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an understanding of the use of Mendeley in scientific articles for ITBU engineering faculty lecturers. With this introduction, lecturers are expected to provide an understanding of the use of the Mendeley application in scientific articles in a comprehensive manner and to be actively involved in research writing with fellow lecturers, students and all related parties. The method of implementing this activity is divided into three steps of implementing activities (workshops): (1) practical guidelines and tips on how to write at a national accredited journal, (2) introducing mendeley, and (3) practice of mendeley is expected to add to the learning experience new to the lecturers. The results of this community service activity are the majority of lecturers get new information and knowledge about this Mendeley citation and citation application. The positive impact was felt by the lecturers from the training activities held with the aim of facilitating the writing of citations and citations in scientific articles. The positive enthusiasm and curiosity of the lecturers were shown interactively during the implementation activities. Critical discourse analysis Van Djik model is one of the analysis that seek language through power, ideology and politics. Based on this, it is important to conduct critical discourse analysis of Van Dijk model to online news report program during pandemic covid19 from macro structure analysis. This research uses descriptive qualitative research design, with observation method or capture as data collection method. This research takes the data from online news report during covid19 pandemic, namely Kompas.com, Tribunternate, Kumparan, CNBC Indonesia, CNN Indonesia, Gridhealth, and CBS news. Result analysis shows as macro semantics structure, online news report during covid19 pandemic covers seven types critical discourse analysis of Van Dijk model; such as, actor description, authority, burden, consensus, evidentiality, self-glorification and disclaimer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik media daring selama pandemi covid19 yang ditinjau dari analisis struktur makro semantik. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan metode capture dan cetak sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari berita covid19 di beberapa situs berita di media daring, seperti Kompas.com, Tribunternate, Kumparan, CNBC Indonesia, CNN Indonesia, Gridhealth, dan CBS news. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara struktur makro semantik, wacana berita media daring meliputi tujuh kategori model Van Dijk, yaitu; actor description, authority, burden, consensus, evidentiality, self-glorification dan disclaimer. Hal ini menandakan bahwa karakteristik media daring selama pandemi tetap merujuk pada teori analisis wacana kritis model Van Dijk.
<p class="8Abstractcontent">The aims of this research are to know the errors made by the learners on their English narrative composition; to identify the factors made the errors by learners; to identify the errors made by the learners; to correct the errors which have been made; to improve the teaching quality appropriating the curriculum and the syllabus; as well as to get the data and the explanation about the difficulties in studying English especially in arranging the conjunction of English narrative composition. The method used in this research is descriptive method that gives the data and the explanation about the recent symptoms of the errors made by the learners. The descriptive method consists of the ways in giving the note, the analysis and the interpretation about the recent condition. The characteristic of the descriptive method is to give the existence of the data which is straight to the problems as the recent variables are not manipulated. The research was carried out by conducting a written test of English narrative composition for the learners. After analyzing the data, the findings point out that the errors of coordinate conjunction are 33.3% and the subordinate conjunction is 66,7 %.</p><p> </p><strong>Keywords:</strong> syntactical error, conjunctional, narrative text
At the end of 2014-2019 legislative periods, members of the House of Representatives made controversial constitutions, in which if passed, it will threaten civil liberties, among other things, especially the amendment of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Law. This situation makes students conduct a demonstration against RKUHP in front of the Parliament Building. There are several posters that attract attention in this demonstration. This study aims to describe the level of communicative students and pragmatic functions that are reflected in posters during demonstration made by students. This study uses qualitative methods with content analysis techniques. The data are observed from a number of banners and posters containing the rejection of the RKUHP and the KPK Law. The results of the analysis showed communicative level of the posters made by the participants were very high. Only a few posters are not communicative.
