Halal Industry market has a very great potential in the future to provide the goods and services for both domestic and international. However there was a lack of understanding and knowledge about mechanism enforcement among consumers. The objective of this research is to examine the implementation and practices the enforcement of halal compliance by halal authority.. From a qualitative approach, data is collected through semi-structured interviews with the halal authorities. The results can analyze the mechanism empowered by halal authorities. It is hoped that the research could educate the consumer knowledge on the mechanism of halal enforcement. As a promotion to market products, strategic marketing is the fundamental element. Product label packaging is an important marketing component that plays a vital role in marketing communication and provides a significant part of the intended message along with legally prescribed content. However, some of the labels used in packaging might lead to consumer confusion. The use of Islamic symbols in food packaging labels is one of the practices that may confuse others. Therefore, it has become popular in the Malaysian market and as a trademark to attract Muslim consumers. This study analysed the factors influencing the acceptance of Islamic attributes in food packaging labels. This quantitative research was based on the data collected through the questionnaires with the respondents from Muslim consumers in Kampung Parit No 3, Muar, Johor. The data was then analysed using descriptive analysis through SPSS Program Version 22. The research results revealed that the factors of belief in religion, which believe the products are halal, good, and safe to be consumed, are the main factors that influenced them in accepting the products that use Islamic attributes in their packaging labels. This research indicates that using Islamic attributes in food packaging has influenced them to accept the products. This could offer significant insight to the authority body, manufacturers, consumers, and researchers.
Menurut statistik terkini, sejumlah 724 buah hotel telah berjaya memperoleh sijil halal JAKIM. Walaubagaimanapun, daripada jumlah tersebut hanya beberapa buah hotel sahaja yang boleh diklasifikasikan sebagai Hotel Patuh Syariah (HPS). Sesebuah hotel akan dikategorikan sebagai patuh Syariah sekiranya memenuhi keperluan Syariah dari sudut pengurusan operasi, perkhidmatan, penyediaan makanan halal, aliran wang tunai dan juga kemudahan infrastruktur. Namun begitu dalam aspek aliran wang tunai, tanggungjawab sosial korporat (TSK) dari sudut filantropi kurang diberi penekanan dalam penilaian terhadap Hotel Patuh Syariah. Oleh yang demikian, tujuan kajian ini dilakukan adalah untuk menilai kriteria-kriteria Hotel Patuh Syariah dari sudut tanggungjawab sosial korporat melalui filantropi. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan melalui kajian literatur dan dokumen berkaitan pematuhan Syariah dalam pengurusan hotel. Kaedah ini digunakan untuk menganalisis, memeriksa dan memilih data secara sistematik dan objektif bagi menghasilkan satu rangka kerja konseptual mengenai Hotel Patuh Syariah. Hasil kajian ini mendapati bahawa konsep tanggungjawab sosial korporat dari sudut filantropi tidak diberi perhatian yang sewajarnya dalam pengurusan dan operasi Hotel Patuh Syariah. Justeru, diharap kajian ini dapat membantu pengusaha hotel untuk menerapkan konsep tanggungjawab sosial korporat dari sudut filantropi dalam operasi Hotel Patuh Syariah. Malaysia possesses all the characteristics that make it an ideal Islamic tourism destination and adequately cater to the demands of Muslim tourists with an abundance of halal cuisine, prayer facilities, and Islamic attractions from places to festivals. With advantages including an extensive and well-developed halal network, good infrastructure, consistent economic growth rate, government-backed business incentives as well as political and economic stability, Malaysia is an ideal Muslim-friendly destination that also appeals to non-Muslims. Unfortunately, an epidemic outbreak emerged in December 2019 from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, which sparked the Covid-19 virus to significantly impact the world including Malaysia and paralyzed the tourism sector. Thus, this study aims to analyse the impacts of the pandemic on Islamic tourism in Malaysia and refine Malaysia's recovery plan towards this outbreak. This study is qualitative research by using documents analysis to achieve the objectives. The finding indicates the impact of Covid-19 can be monitored from two factors, first is based on statistical numbers of tourists entering Malaysia from arrival and expenditure before and after Malaysia closed the border, and second, the declining number of growth projections from the tourism sector that was affected from this pandemic. Hence, a recovery plan under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC) and Standard Operational Procedures from Malaysia National Security Council (MKN), has been established to overcome the impacts and fresh start for Islamic Tourism in Malaysia.
Memorization of al-Quran is a practice that can improve one's ability of memorization, apart from empowering one's soul and spiritual aspect in the endeavour to raise new generations adorned with quality education and to embellish one's character. In implementing the government's aspiration to encourage the production of 12,500 professional huffaz from varieties of background expertise by 2050 as a part of Transformasi Nasional 50 (TN50), UiTM answers the call by nurturing approximately 105 students as of now, in Plus Tahfiz that is offered as a co-curriculum program. The involvement of students from different fields is a challenge to ensure they are able to complete their memorization syllabus prior to graduation. This research attempts to study the effects of al-Quran memorization practised on a daily basis towards the students' academic excellence and the improvement of the students' character. The methodology employed in this research is by distributing questionnaires. The findings of this research suggest that al-Quran memorization imprints a positive impact on students' academic excellence based on the analysis of students' current CGPA. The implication of this research proposed that al-Quran memorization should be granted more emphasis and should be integrated with the academic field because the practice of memorization of al-Quran contributes significantly to the students' academic excellence and the development of their character.
