In recent years, teaching has become a challenging activity due to modernization and globalization. Teachers exercise a variety of modern motivational techniques to deliver knowledge in educational institutes. Motivation is considered a central key in the process of teaching and learning. The present study aims to explore pedagogical motivational techniques used and lived by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh stands for peace be upon him) for teaching and education. Essentially, the personality of the Prophet (pbuh) was a pinnacle of teaching philosophy and educating. The present study is articulated employing an analytical review of some authentic traditions of the Prophet (pbuh) to address these motivational techniques. The findings reveal that his motivational techniques for teaching and educating are likely to use in the promotion of appropriate teaching and learning. The Prophet's motivation methodology is monotheistic centric (tawhidi centric) with a high goal by addressing to the heart, mind and soul. It is in the peak level of perfection (ihsan). With applying such methodology, he made the most primitive and illiterate of peoples into the masters and teachers of the world in 23 years. Adhering to Prophetic motivational techniques for teaching and educating, teachers may play a more useful role in educational institutes. Overall, this study serves as a gateway for Muslim teachers and instructors to be effective in teaching and educating activities as well as researchers, educationists, and scholars to be motivated in exploring the personality of the Prophet (pbuh) as a universal teacher and educator.For motivation, first the Prophet built a very strong trust that he was called "al-Amin" among the tribes and then became "beloved of the hearts" (mahbubu"l qulub) which means loved by the people or his companions through servanthood. Finally, he became the educator and purifier of soul (muzakkin nufus pl. of nafs). Nursi states that "the Prophet transformed his hard-hearted people into teachers of humanity and masters of civilized peoples by conquering hearts and minds. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk bahan ajar berbasis riddle story. Dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil penelitian awal yang menunjukkan bahwa buku paket kurang menarik dan membuat siswa bosan menggunakannya dalam belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau researh and development yaitu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk meneliti dan menghasilkan produk tertentu serta menguji efektifitas penggunaan produk tersebut untuk mencapai tujuan. Proses penelitiannya berusaha mendapatkan gambaran tentang bahan bejar yang digunakan siswa dan pengembangannya mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D yang dikolaborasikan dengan model pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) tahap yaitu tahap pendefenisian, tahap perancangan, tahap pengembangan dan tahap penyebaran. Penelitian ini difokuskan kepada deskripsi kebutuhan siswa terhadap bahan ajar, proses pengembangan dan keefektifan bahan ajar dalam mengantar siswa menguasai kompetensinya. Data hasil penelitian ini dianalisis secara kualitatif untuk menguji bahan ajar ini sehingga memenuhi kriteria layak pakai.
Character Education is indeed a high priority, the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Character education is not a process of transfering knowledge and memorizing the materials to have an exam. Character education requires habituation. It refers to real action of becoming caring, perseverance, and team work, being ashamed to cheat and also being ashamed to be lazy. Character Education is indeed a high priority, one of the important factors in determining a country's development. It can bring a country in advance or even in decline. Education has important role to create and develop young generations' potential to have the the spiritual strength of religious, include caring, confidence, caurage, curiosity, flexibility, friendship, goal setting, humility, humor, initiative, integrity, patience, perseverance, positive attitude, problem solving, self discipline, teamwork, and the skills needed for themselves and society. The points of discussion in this study are Caring, Perseverance and Teamwork with a purpose to find out and describe the traits of characters education found in the novel. The research is conducted by means of descriptive qualitative research proposed by Creswell (2009) and Ary (2002) The results show that the three traits Caring, Perseverance and Teamwork are found in the novel.
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kinerja pembelajaran guru melalui program Perbaikan Kinerja Berkelanjutan (PKB) pada Kelompok Kegiatan Guru (KKG) Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. Masalah penelitian yang diajukan terkait dengan bagaimana meningkatkan kinerja pembelajaran guru pada kelompok guru sasaran melalui pendampingan PKB. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode action research yang didesain mengikuti siklus plan (merencanakan), do (melakukan) dan see (mengamati) yang secara operasional diimplemenasi secara bergilir pada 3 (tiga) sekolah berbeda: SDN Kompleks Pemda Makassar, SDN Kompleks IKIP 1 Makassar dan SDN Inpres Aroeppala Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) pengorganisasian PKB pada KKG PAI efektif mendorong motivasi guru untuk merubah cara pandangnya terhadap pembelajaran;(2) pengorganisasian PKB pada KKG PAI efektif mendorong perbaikan kinerja pengelolaan kelas;(3) pengorganisasian PKB pada KKG PAI efektif mendorong perbaikan kinerja pengelolaan bahan pembelajaran, dan (4) pengorganisasian PKB pada KKG PAI efektif mendorong kinerja evaluasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada peningkatan motivasi, komitmen professional dan kinerja pembelajaran guru di dalam kelas. Kata Kunci: guru, kinerja guru, kinerja berkelanjutan, pendidikan Islam.
