Myth as a symbolic narrative, usually of unknown origin, is related to religion and practice and is believed to be something that exists. As part of world culture, Lampung has a lot of folklore. Lampung folklore contains values that reflect the richness of the soul, philosophy, character, and civilizational environment formed and nurtured in tradition. Many of the folk tales that developed in Lampung raised the origin of a place, the basis of a society, the source of creatures in the universe, and mythological creatures. However, not many studies raise the mythical animal phenomenon found in Lampung folklore. Therefore, this study provides an overview of mythical animals in Lampung oral literature and the function of these myths. This study used a descriptive analysis method with a myth-critical approach to reveal and describe the embodiment of animal mythology in Lampung's oral literature. The data used were taken from field research in four districts in Lampung Province: West Lampung Regency, Central Lampung Regency, West Tulangbawang Regency, and Waykanan Regency. The results of the study concluded that the mythical animals that appeared in the oral literature of the people in the four districts were crocodiles, dragons, caterpillars, and garuda birds (eagles). The myth is interpreted as the relationship between humans, animals, and plants as a symbol of the responsibility of living creatures to coexist and adapt to each other.

This research aims to determine the advantages of using multimedia presentations in teaching-learning activities, especially the use of video tutorials that affect student work on procedural tasks. This study compares student learning performance using paper-based manuals to students using video tutorials. The effectiveness was measured by using pre-test, post-test and retention as repeated measures before and after training, as well as students' motivational beliefs (relevancy of the task and efficacy by self). Furthermore, we also showed the students' mood in teaching-learning processes. This research involved 62 students of a public junior high school in Bandar Lampung with the average age of 14 years old and they were assigned into experiment and control conditions. The instruments which were used in this study are video instruction, manual paper, questionnaires, and test. The results showed that students with the use of video tutorial media had significantly higher post-test and retention scores. The average score obtained by students who were using video-based tutorial was twice higher than the average score obtained in the paper-based manual condition. During the training, it was found that students who received instruction via video had more positive moods than those who received instruction via paper-based manuals. Students who used video instruction were more motivated and enthusiastic in learning.
This study describes the vitality of the oral tradition of Syaer Lampung, which grows and develops in the community of Lampung Pepadun. This effort was made to provide a complete understanding and description of words and sentences in the Syaer's oral literature. The researchers use a qualitative approach in four sets to achieve this goal, namely data collection, data verification, data presentation analysis, and conclusions. Researchers found the philosophical meaning contained in Syaer's oral literature as an advice from ancestors for future generations. The advice inserted in every stanza of Syaer's oral literature is to have a noble character, be responsible, be kind, staying away from detrimental actions to oneself and others. Another philosophical meaning in Syaer's stanza is the command to obey Allah and stay away from His prohibitions. Researchers also found indications of the vitality of Syaer's oral literature, which began to fade among its users. It was found that there was a substantial change in the use of language in Syaer's stanza from Lampung to Indonesian. Based on these findings, the researchers suggested that the conservation for Syaer was necessary.
