The research is aiming at exploring the utilization of technology at both Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University and Faculty of Arts and Education within Deakin Universit.The data was collected through the interview with the lecturers and also the field observation. On this faculty, the BI learning program is organized in two modes: on campus and off campus. Based on the observation and interview, it could be identified that 1) Learning activity: Mode off campus 2) Classroom Management is conducted individually or in group and a virtual meeting with the instructor and or via video conference 3) Devices utilized by the students were hardware and software with certain specification, 4) Application/software utilized was adopted package software, 5) Learning material was developed by the instructors, 6) Supported crew was the IT staff, and 7) Instructur in the learning activity was still required with different role as the learning material developer.Keywords: engagement; technology; learning support
This study investigated the application model of character education in Islamic Religious Education learning and spiritual extracurricular activities in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Palembang. Data were collected using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results show that the implementation model of character education is a collaboration between the integration model and the supplement. Character education is collaborated through learning Islamic Religious Education and spiritual extracurricular activities. These two activities produce knowledge, attitudes, and moral actions on the part of students. The success of character education can be seen from the behavior of students who have religious behavior, honest, disciplined, responsible, caring, polite, cooperative, creative, hard-working, curious, friendly, and social care. There were some factors that supported the success of character education and they include religious programs, dormitories, and facilities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors for the success of character education were the negative influence of technology, limited supervision by madrasa institutions, and weak cooperation between madrasas and parents of students.
Moodle based Worksheet on Scientific Article Writing: A Students Perceptions. Objectives: This research aims to find out necessity analysis of student worksheet development based on Moodle for scientific article writing reviewed by student perceptions. Method: The data were collected by using questionnaire and interview activity. The questionnaire was used to find out the students' perceptions. The interview was used to adjust and match the questionnaire data result with the actual condition. The technique of analyzing data is descriptive qualitative analysis. Findings: The findings showed that:1) students perceived the scientific article writing material important to learn, 2) the learning process had not facilitated the students, 3) the learning material was only centered on textbook, 4) the technology utilization in composing learning material should be improved, and 5) writing material presentation should be revised based on the students' characteristics. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop Moodle-based student worksheet on scientific articles writing.
This study aims to develop learning media to analyze the building blocks of poetry by using sparkol videoscribe in 10th grade students. This research is a development research (R&D). This research method is used to produce certain products, and test the effectiveness of these products. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique was carried out by analyzing the questionnaire which was seen from the results of the high and low percentage of the needs desired by students and the next teacher. Based on the results of product trials, it shows an increase in learning outcomes of 36.76, with a pretest mean of 41.96 while postest was 78.92. Based on these findings it can be concluded that the development of learning media to analyze the building blocks of poetry using sparkol videoscribe has an effect on the learning outcomes of 10th grade students.
<p><em>This study aims to produce Student Worksheets with the title Appreciation Novel Based on Character Education. This research and development method modifies and collaborates the theories of the development of Gall, Gall, and Borg and the theory of development of Tessmer. Student Worksheets produced in this study through validation tests by three experts covering aspects of feasibility: material, language, presentation, and graphics. Based on the validation of the three experts, the conclusion is that the Student Worksheet is valid and worthy of being tested with revisions according to the comments and suggestions of experts. Then the Student Worksheets are tested one-to-one and small groups which result that the Student Worksheet is practical to use. The field trials were conducted through pretest and posttest, the average value of the students'novel appreciation increased from 57.07 to 82.80 (difference 25.74). Thus, the Student Worksheet Appreciation of Novel Based on Character Education is effective in improving the ability of students to appreciate the novels they read.</em></p>
