Social entrepreneurship is an important concept for realizing the welfare of rural communities. This concept refers to the dedication of individuals, who have the character of a leader, who collaborates actively with their communities, to realize collective welfare. This research aims to analyze the role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in improving the welfare of rural communities through social entrepreneurship. This research was qualitative. The data collection technique used in this research was the observation. The results of observations are then analyzed, combined, and enriched with secondary data. The results showed that BUMDes is an institution in rural areas, which has an important role in encouraging and supporting the principles of social entrepreneurship in rural communities. However, the various BUMDes activities and innovations have not yet provided significant changes for the village such as job opportunities for rural youth and various economic activities in rural areas to improve the local economy. Strengthening the social system in the village is needed to realize social entrepreneurship comprehensively through the active collaboration of village leaders and the community. Village fund management by BUMDes needs to be continued and evaluated in its implementation.
Gotong royong is one of local wisdom was embedded in Indonesian culture. It be basic tradition in nation and governmentally. This value is should be come basic in our nation. Although we must believe that social-economic and politic were changed this values. Globalization, poverty and politic situations are the main factors. This article describes the important of togetherness, is called gotong royong. It must be revitalization. We must try continued in our nation life. Key Words : gotong royong, togetherness, basic and revitalizationGotong royong merupakan salah satu akar peradaban yang dimiliki oleh bangsa Indonesia dan menjadi landasan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Nilai tersebut sudah selayaknya tetap menjadi pondasi kehidupan dalam hidup bermasyarakat dan bernegara. Walaupun harus kita akui, bahwa kondisi sosial, ekonomi dan politik masyarakat Indonesia saat ini, sangat rentan untuk melunturkan nilai-nilai tersebut. Globalisasi, kemiskinan dan situasi politik yang tidak menentu disebut-sebut sebagai faktor utama yang menyebabkannya. Tulisan ini hendak mengkaji pentingnya nilai kebersamaan dalam masyarakat yang menjelma menjadi gotong royong ini melandasi kehidupan bangsa Indonesia, sudah seharusnya revitalisasi gotong royong ini harus kita upayakan secara terus menerus dalam konteks kekinian. Background: Literacy is a supporting component of children's academic success. Literacy ability is influenced by interdependent language skills. Limitations on early literacy skills increase the chance of academic process obstacles at school age. The role of parents is crucial in the child's development process especially in literacy. Aim this study is to describe correlation between parental variabels and early literacy skills. Methods: This cross sectional research was conducted with a survey approach. The instrument was developed to explore demographic information, socioeconomic status, and the role of parents in developing early literacy skills. Statistic descriptive and correlation study was conducted to analyse 180 respondent data. Results: The role of parents has contributed to the development of early literacy skills. Parental history, mother's education, and language activities have a positive relationship with the development of early literacy skills. Conclusions: The role of parents is one of the multivariate variables that play a role in the development of early literacy skills. Further search is needed to see the extent of the role of parents in carrying out specific activities that are relevant to children's literacy abilities.
Pendidikan inklusi memberikan harapan bagi kelompok difable untuk mendapatkan pendidikan yang sama dengan warga negara lain. Dengan bekal pendidikan tersebut diharapkan mereka mendapatkan kesempatan yang sama dalam memperoleh pekerjaan demi kesejahteraan untuk kelangsungan hidupnya. Tulisan ini hendak mengkaji bagaimana motivasi dan harapan yang dimiliki oleh para difable terhadap pendidikan inklusi yang diselenggarakan oleh UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan penggalian data primer melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap mahasiswa difable. Data sekunder diperoleh dari beberapa dokumen yang dimiliki oleh PLD UIN dalam proses penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusi tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa motivasi difabel, mayoritas sama dengan mahasiswa lain untuk mendapatkan pendidikan dan mencapai cita-cita sama dengan mahasiswa normal. Proses pembelajaran di UIN belum sesuai dengan keinginan mereka karena banyak kekurangan dari sarana dan prasarana, pendamping mahasiswa difabel dan dosen yang kurang memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk mendidik kelompok difabel. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan inklusi, mahasiswa difable, motivasi dan harapan. Inclusion education gives an expectation to group of disabled people to get an equal education as the non-disabled people do. With this education, it is expected that they get the same opportunity to get jobs in order to become more prosper. This writing investigates how the motivation and the expectation of disabled people towards inclusion education which is held by UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The method used is qualitative and the primary data is obtained through observation and interview with disabled students. The secondary data is obtained from some documents owned by PLD UIN which is used to run this inclusion education. The result of investigation shows that most of disabled students have the same motivation as the non-disabled students to get education and pursue their dream. The learning process in UIN itself has not met their expectation because the lack of facilities and assistant, and lecturer who have not possessed proper skills and knowledge to teach disabled students. The massive scale of forest fire by big companies in Kapuas Hulu have caused smog disaster that affect surrounding areas suh as Kalimantan Island and Malaysia.These companies cleared land without considering season calendaras indigenous peopleof Dayak did. As a result, forest fire is uncontrollable that cause serious haze disaster. In contrast, the Dayak people have local wisdom called bambi‘ari to prevent forest fire. According to bambi ‘ari, Dayak people clear small scale land and use season calendar before fire the forest.This research concern swith bambi ‘ari’s implementation to prevent forest fire haze by using qualitative method to collect primary data. This research argues that as a local wisdom, bambi ‘ari was built upon collaboration among the Dayak people to develop social solidarity. Since the Dayak people rely heavily on natural resources, they set a system to help natural resources management, such as forest. This set of system called tembawang, applies season calendar to determine planting in the field and land clearing. Forest fire as a tool of land clearing, conducted in natural ways and in particular time to avoid haze disaster. Collaboration among the Dayak people occurred when they fire forest by monitoring hot spots and supplying water to prevent uncontrolled forest fire.This research concludes that the implementation of bambi‘ari as a long term natural resources management by the Dayak people enable haze disaster prevention
