The article analyzes the formation of leadership qualities of students in institutions of higher education. It is emphasized that the development of the leadership potential of education seekers is an urgent problem for institutions of higher education, since it is during the student years that active formation of value orientations, social position, and determination of life priorities of a young person takes place. Today, a student of higher education can independently make decisions, put forward new ideas, developing leadership potential. Therefore, with the aim of creating leaders of a new generation, the problem of developing the leadership potential of students of geography faculties is gaining relevance. Universities, acting as centers of education, science and culture, have significant opportunities for continuous development of the individual, including his leadership abilities. Accumulating and transmitting innovative pedagogical experience, the university creates a modern educational space that can train high-quality specialists who consciously assume the functions of management and effective leadership in various areas of professional activity. In order to develop and implement forms of work for the development of the leadership potential of geography students, the most effective organizational forms of socio-pedagogical work in the direction of the development of leadership potential have been singled out, namely, training that performs transformative, corrective, preventive and adaptive functions; the student scientific circle is aimed at communication, exchange of ideas and thoughts, improvement and development of knowledge of education seekers in scientific spheres of activity, personality formation; quest – a competition, sequential performance of pre-prepared tasks by individual players or teams; debate; Round Table; individual work; portfolio as a way of recording, accumulating, evaluating and self-assessing personal achievements over a certain period of time, etc. Special attention should be paid to the diagnosis of the leadership abilities of higher education students studying at the Faculty of Geography of the Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University, conducted according to the methodology of E. Zharikov and Krushelnytskyi. This technique allows you to assess a person's ability to be a leader. After analyzing the results, we see that the leadership qualities of most of the applicants are below average, which is characterized by a lack of desire to communicate, a tendency to spend time alone. They don't feel active and relaxed. It is difficult for such students to establish contacts with people. They do not stand up for their point of view, they hardly tolerate criticism. They practically do not show initiative, do not make independent decisions. In practice, there is still a fairly significant proportion of students who, according to their personal manifestations, are quite non-initiative, do not have any expressed abilities and do not seek to express themselves, to achieve a prestigious social status by their own efforts. Such manifestations complicate the processes of their social adaptation and professional development. Therefore, the analysis of the state of study of the problem of leadership and the formation of leadership qualities in the works of Ukrainian and foreign scientists recognizes the insufficient level of research on the problem of the formation of leadership qualities among students of geographical universities. The development of modern interactive forms and methods of forming leadership qualities in students of geography faculties requires further scientific study.
The purpose of the research is to analyze the spatial resource of the territory of the suburbanization zone of the city of Chernivtsi. In the article, the dynamics of changes in the population of the urban residents of Chernivtsi region was analyzed. The indicator of the voltage of the demographic impact field was calculated and was found that as a result of active urbanization zone was formed, for each settlement of which there is a large, medium or low demographic voltage. The power of influence depends primarily on the population in the city because the larger is the number of residents, the greater will be the zone of its influence, which is considered as a vector, directed from the center of the city. Outside the designated suburbanization zone the voltage of demographic influence does not disappear, although with the decreasing of the distance from the city of Chernivtsi to an interval of approximately 50-55 km it is heading to zero. The cartographic model of the field of the demographic voltage of the city of Chernivtsi has been developed, where the boundaries of the suburbanization zone are clearly distinguished. Since the 90s the suburban zone of the city of Chernivtsi has been characterized by active changes, and today it is heterogeneous with uneven development. The main trends of modern changes in the suburban zone of the city of Chernivtsi, factors and relations with the regional center were also revealed. The boundaries of formation of the Chernivtsi Amalgamated territorial community (hromada) on the basis of a pronounced mutual influence “city-village”, “village-city” have been confirmed. The historical change of compactness of the city of Chernivtsi for the period 1861- 2020 years was traced, where the analysis of calculated indices of the territory of Chernivtsi indicates the maximum compactness of the territory of Chernivtsi in 1861. With the further development of the city, the area of the territory increased and the shape of it gradually loses compactness. The rationality of the use of urban space is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of the urban settlement because the time spent on moving the passenger and cargo flows is minimized, and the connections become closer and more intensive.
We studied the specifics of touristic and economic management of the polonynas of the Carpathian Region of Ukraine and characterized festival tourism in Putyla district of Chernivtsi oblast – a promising direction of developing event tourism in Ukraine. We found evolutionary changes in festivals, determined the main directions and possibilities of popularizing and managing the potential touristic resources, and evaluated the festival potential of the region. We analyzed event tourism – a significant source of formation of a positive image of the region and increase in the touristic attractiveness of the oblast and country in general. We paid special attention to festival resources, the potential of which is unlimited and is most attractive for educational, youth, ethnic and adventure types of tourism. We analyzed the polonynas of the southwest part of Chernivtsi Oblast, which were classified as small (15), average (7), large (3) and very large (2). We found most overloaded polonynas, located right near the areas where the local population constantly resides. Such include Baikalivka (Yablunytsia village), Hudivska (Poliakivska village),Shchuryntsi and Komarnyk (Ploska village), Shyroka (Hrobyshche village) and Nyzhni Rakovy (Kyselitsi village) polonynas. We characterized transhumance sheep farming, which remains a specialized sphere of farming in the polonynas. We analyzed the festival of the departure of shepherds and servants for the polonyna, which since 1967 has been held in Putyla in the last week of May. We determined that this event with an exhibition and market of regional crafts (vyshyvankas, bead accessories, pottery, weaving, pysanka decorative art, carving, wood burning and incrustation on wood, etc) is of domestic and international significance. We characterized popular Hutsul traditional accessories, related to the polonyna farming. We obtained results which may further promote multi-aspect models of marketing development of festival tourism.
