AbstrakThis research aims are to identify the problems of social interaction among elementary school students and developing the design of conceptual tolerance education model appropriate with the their needs. The research employs research and development approach. The first step begins with the survey for needs assessment, the next step is developing module of tolerance learning. The respondents include 21 elementary school students and 24 teachers from 3 different elementary schools in Madiun. One school represents public elementary school and the other two represent private school. The data collecting methods included questionnaires, interview and focus group discussion. The data collected through descriptive and qualitative, then used as considerations in designing the tolerance education model. Those are collected through focus group discussion in improving the tolerance education model. The results of the research were: (1) there is a wide gap between the teacher expectation and the student condition, (2) The tolerance learning model is assessed to have activity material according to the learning objectives (3) The selection of appropriate learning strategy and method and have high visibility can be implemented in elementary school and teachers perceive the need for tolerance in elementary school although there are variations in delivery strategies, ie as intracurricular, extracurricular and inserted in subjects other than Civic.Keywords : Learning Model, Tolerance Values, Elementary School students Abstrak Tujuannya adalah untuk mengidentifikasikan berbagai persoalan dalam interaksi sosial siswa Sekolah Dasar dan mengembangkan rancangan konseptual model pembelajaran toleransi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak Sekolah Dasar. Pendekatan penelitian ini dengan recearch and development. Tahap pertama dengan survey untuk need assesment, tahap kedua pengembangan modul pembelajaran toleransi. Responden 21 siswa Sekolah Dasar dan 24 guru wali kelas yang berasal dari tiga Sekolah Dasar di Madiun. Satu sekolah mewakili Sekolah Dasar Negeri dan dua sekolah mewakili Sekolah Dasar swasta. Pengumpulan data dengan metode angket, wawancara dan diskusi kelompok. Analisis data dengan deskriptif kualitatif, selanjutnya dijadikan sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk mendesain model pembelajaran nilai-nilai toleransi. Data hasil diskusi kelompok terfokus digunakan untuk perbaikan disain model pembelajaran nilai-nilai toleransi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat kesenjangan yang cukup lebar antara harapan guru dengan kondisi siswa (2) Modul pembelajaran nilai-nilai toleransi dinilai memiliki materi aktivitas yang sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, (3) Pemilihan strategi dan metode pembelajaran yang tepat dan memiliki visibilitas yang tinggi dapat dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar dan semua guru memandang perlunya pembelajaran toleransi di Sekolah Dasar, walaupun terdapat variasi perbedaan strategi penyampaian, yakni sebagai kegiatan intrakurikuler, ekstrakurikuler dan disisipkan dalam mata pelajaran selain PPKN.
Dengan membaca buku akan membuka cakrawala pengetahuan dan menambah wawasan. Begitu juga pada siswa yang duduk di bangku sekolah, minat baca yang tinggi akan memberikan pengaruh positif seperti menambah ilmu pengetahuan, menambah kosakata, menambah kemampuan menulis, serta melatih focus dan konsentrasi belajar. Namun pada kenyataannya, permasalahan yang masih ditemukan sampai saat ini adalah rendahnya minat membaca pada siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peranan pojok baca dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa khususnya di sekolah dasar. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk meneliti kondisi objek secara alamiah, teknik pengumpulan data dalam prosedur pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan pengumpulan dokumen terkait efektivitas pojok baca. Tahap-tahap dalam persiapan, pelaksanaan, analisa data, sampai dengan penulisan laporan dilaksanakan di SDIT AL HIKMAH Bence. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan, bahwa nampak bahwa pojok baca memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan budaya gemar membaca pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pojok baca sangat berpengaruh dalam upaya meingkatka budaya gemar membaca pada siswa SD. Penyusunan pojok baca yang unik dan menarik akan makin merangsang minat baca siswa, karena lingkungan yang mendukungpun akan membuat siswa betah untuk membaca.
The problem faced by students after graduating from High School or Vocational High School is the difficulty in deciding whether to work immediately or going to college. The next problem for students who will enter college is to choose which major study based on their type of intelligence. Determination of Departments that are inappropriate often makes students unable to do well in lectures. The problem of this study is whether the selection of Departments for the University of PGRI Madiun in 2019 is in accordance with the type of intelligence or not. The purpose of this study is to recommend the selection of Departments at the University of PGRI Madiun students based on Multiple Intelligence test results. This research is quantitative research and data collection is done qualitatively. The research subjects were students of PGRI Madiun University in 2019. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 297 students from 4 Faculties and 22 Departments. The technique of collecting data using the multiple intelligence test questionnaire. The research data were analyzed using the K-Nearest Neighbors method. The results of the study showed that the suitability of the choice of Departments of the University of PGRI Madiun students based on multiple Intelligence test for the Faculty of Health and Science had the highest accuracy of 86.36%, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (Sains) 63.04%, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (Social) 32.28%, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (Language) 58.62%, Faculty of Technology 56.67%, Faculty of Economics and Business 48.84%.
