Today, education in Indonesia is assessed by various groups, both at home and abroad, has been facing various challenges and problems so that it has a negative impact on low quality of education in Indonesia. For this reason, this research was deliberately carried out as a contributive step to identify various challenges and problems faced by the world of education in Indonesia and recommend several solution steps so that they can contribute ideas to improve education in Indonesia. This research uses the qualitative approach by applying the literature study method as well as collecting primary data and various secondary sources through documentation, followed by analysis of the data obtained. From the research conducted, it can be found that there are several challenges and problems of education in Indonesia, including unbalanced education output, low quality of facilities and infrastructure, low quality and behavior of teachers, student moral behavior, and tolerance for racial intolerance. In order to overcome the problems above, it is necessary to have mutual cooperation and collaboration from all parts of nation as the key to implementing several alternative solutions, including improving the welfare of education, building a world view and improving the mindset of teachers and students, developing a comprehensive curriculum design, overseeing budget allocations, increase the contribution of the business world and others.
The objective of this study is to develop a design for SimpusTaka as a website-based library using the Laravel Framework so that a conducive, systematic and computerized system can be created at the Ksatrya Lima Satu college foundation. SimPusTaka’s design was developed from the foundation's website, library guidebooks, and the existing studies. The primary emphasis of this research centers around the three phases of the Borg & Gall model’s development. The study began with data collection through interviews and literature reviews, followed by the planning and initial development stages of SimPusTaka. The findings suggest that the researchers utilized the Borg & Gall development stages to design SimPusTaka as a foundation for creating a system for managing library information that is based on the web using the Laravel framework. During the data collection phase, the researchers conducted a thorough literature review using previous studies, guidelines for library services, and the Ksatrya Lima Satu Higher Education Foundation website. Interviews were conducted with the YPKLS school librarian. At the SimPusTaka design stage, the researcher made a list of SimPusTaka features according to the suggestions given from the data collection stage, namely homepage features, search for books, about us, librarian, survey satisfaction, contact, registration form, login.
Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sangat berpengaruh bahkan sangat menentukan terhadap kemajuan sekolah. Untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan maka kepala sekolah menerapkan prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan dan prinsip-prinsip pengelolaan kualitas total yang mendukung peningkatan mutu. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mencapai mutu pendidikan yang diharapkan bukanlah merupakan hasil dan ditentukan oleh karya perseorangan, namun justru merupakan karya dari team work yang cerdas. Untuk itu, kepala sekolah dituntut memiliki kemampuan manajerial yang baik serta mampu mendorong seluruh bawahan untuk dapat memberdayakan dirinya. Penelitian ini bertujan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru dalm meningkatkan mutu pendidikan khususnya di sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif serta kajian pustaka. Hasilnya yaitu ada beberapa strategi yang harus dilakukan kepala sekolah terkait dengan peningkatan mutu yaitu 1) menyusun perencanaan dan pengembangan sekolah dengan merumuskan visi, misi, dan tujuan jangka pendek. 2) pelaksanaan strategi dengan meningkatkan kedisiplinan 3) meningkatkan hasil ujian di setiap tahunnya 4) senantiasa menjalin komunikasi dan kerjasama yang baik dengan komite, wali murid, alumni dan lembaga-lembaga pemerintah terdekat 5) evaluasi pelaksanaan program.
