The available land resources and their reserves in the Russian Federation can be effectively used by agricultural producers to address the issue of eliminating hunger on a global scale. This will strengthen the country's political position in the world and ensure the economic stability of both foreign trade in food and the domestic positions of its producers. It is proposed to evaluate the reproduction of land used in agricultural production, using a comprehensive indicator of the effectiveness of their reproduction, taking into account the values of a number of major factors that have an unregulated and regulated nature. The article presents the results of the analysis of the efficiency of agricultural land reproduction in the Tambov region, which showed the unstable nature of this process. The reproduction of arable land forms a time-varying economic resource of agriculture. Its management is the implementation of a system of measures to improve the functional state of the soil in accordance with the strategic development plans of agriculture. In the long term, promising avenues for improving the management of agricultural land reproduction should be implemented, focused on increasing the investment attractiveness of agribusiness, introducing innovative technologies for soil maintenance, improving the forecasting and planning of the results of the use of land resources in the industry, in the short term it focused on the possibility of early recovery of the nutrient regime of agricultural plants, deepening the intensification of agriculture, using the potential of organic fertilizer production in the region.
The article presents an assessment of the level of adaptation to environmental conditions of all major groups of representatives of the economic space of rural territories (municipal self-government, population, agribusiness), which showed the uneven socio-economic development of municipal districts of the Tambov region, the priority of the choice of high-intensity agricultural production technologies by agribusiness. Proposals are given to increase the profitability of rural areas as the main direction of growth of the adaptive potential of all participants in this economic space.
The protection of the domestic fruit market needs the development of horticulture in the country. Now, there is an attempt to increase the economic importance of the industry on farms with a commercial horticultural focus. Tambov region has a clear specialization in the production of stone fruits and berries in household farms, with parity in the production of pome fruits in household farms and agricultural organizations. They work systematically to improve the competitiveness of regional horticulture, from the establishment of intensive orchards to the development of industrial storage infrastructure. The paper defined the purpose of strategic managing the competitiveness of horticultural products. The authors proposed a methodology for calculating the coefficient of efficiency of strategic competitiveness management, tested in the fruit growing industry of the Tambov region. The results show a more than 13% improvement in strategic management over 2016-2019. The main factor that has made a major positive contribution to the value of the composite indicator for strategic management efficiency of fruit growing competitiveness was the achieved increase in the indicators for economic activity of agricultural specialized organizations. This article proposed the main directions of improving the competitiveness of regional horticulture, in a systematic combination covering the production, infrastructure, market areas of strategic management of the industry development based on improving the competitiveness of its main productapples.
The level of land use in agricultural regions has a major impact on the degree of ensuring their food security. The result of thirty years of land reforms is the creation of a system of multi-layered economy in rural areas. The studies were conducted on the basis of data from the Tambov Region, a region with a soil cover mainly represented by leached chernozems. The most effective use of land resources was carried out in 2015-2019 in the households of the population, which have a major role in ensuring food security in the region. In general, in the Tambov region, the level of full self-provision for milk, eggs, fruits, and vegetables has not been reached. The solution of this problem lies in the restoration and improvement of soil fertility in farms of all categories of management. The article outlines its main methods that allow the greatest use of the biological potential of agricultural production.
