On April 28, 2021, the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Kostroma State University hosted an interregional scientific and practical conference with international participation “Strategies for social mobility of young handicapped and disabled people in education, health care, culture, employment and recruitment. The scientific meeting was held within the framework of the business programme of the V regional championship in professional skills among disabled people and invalids “Abilympix-2021ˮ in Kostroma Region. This has already been the third scientific meeting organised by the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of the KSU together with the Department of Education and Science of Kostroma Region, the Department of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, and also together with the leading partner – Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogic University.
The Department of Social Work at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Kostroma State University actively develops and updates scientific approaches in the practice of organizing social activities, focuses on the need to expand the potential of regional practices in promoting popular areas of social support for citizens, the elderly and the disabled. Scientific meetings held at KSU do not just summarize the existing experience, but consider social work as a comprehensive, helping direction that organizes its work in the context of the strategic vector of state development, aimed at mitigating risks, disadvantages and unlocking the potential of these categories of the population. As a result of six scientific conferences (2020-2022), one can see a trend in the formation of a technological approach as a scientific direction for the study of social work with the elderly and disabled, carried out by teachers of the Department of Social Work of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Kostroma State University. The teachers of the department scientifically generalize, systematize the best practices of social, pedagogical, psychological activity, methodically accompany the introduction of relevant technologies of social activity, form an emphasis on the inclusion of a wide range of young people in scientific understanding of the processes of social development of the country, region, municipality. Scientific meetings make it possible to unite the leading scientific schools of social work, formed both at the universities of the Russian Federation and abroad.
The article focuses on the problems of content, tasks, functions, difficulties in the practice of a tutor to support intensive forms of students’ joint activity. The authors offer their own interpretation of the concept of “intensive forms of education”, analyze their own experience of tutoring, applying the method of in-depth interviews. The article presents a view of the goals of education intensive forms, the tutor’s role and competencies while supporting a project intensive course, ways of training tutors, means of overcoming difficulties and increasing the tutors’ satisfaction from their own practices.
