The educational application «Fleeing the Holocaust. My encounter with witnesses» enables a sensitive topic to be addressed in the classroom - the teaching of the genocide of European Jews - with the help of audiovisual testimonies. It gives access to the stories of five witnesses who tell, with courage and strength, of their lives overhelmed by the Holocaust and the way they were able to survive, to build themselves as individuals capable of keeping faith in life and in humanity. Aimed at young people from the age of 14, it is based on an innovative digital device that scripts the student’s learning path. In addition to a unique encounter between young people and witnesses, the application offers a series of tasks based on original documents that lead students to become familiar with the theme and to explore it in greater depth.
