Seven N-substituted salicylideneiminatotriphenyltin(IV) chelated complexes of general formula Ph 3 SnL' [HL' = o-HOC 6 H 4 CH=NC 6 H 4 R (R = CI, Me, OMe, COMe) and o-HOC6H 3 (OMe)CH=NC6H 4 Cl] have been synthesized by the reaction of triphenyltin(IV) chloride and Narylsalicylideneimines in benzene in presence of triethylamine as Lewis base. The complexes are characterized by Infrared, NMR ('Η and ll9 Sn) spectroscopy in addition to elemental analyses. Molecular weight determination in chloroform show them to be monomeric and five coordinated trigonal bipyramidal geometry is proposed for the organotin(IV) complexes.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
