Teacher education universities and schools have traditionally been the main sites of teacher learning in Vietnam. This relationship is the key in the process national curriculum innovation. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between teacher education universities and schools in Vietnam, in regard to partnering for the delivery of teacher education adapting national curriculum innovation in Vietnam. Data will be collected through questions involving 243 participants comprising student teachers, university lecturers and mentors. The result of this paper also uses semi-structured interviews to draw conclusions. The findings show that there is a model for teacher education universities - schools cooperation in teacher preparation. However, the partnership is limited by such factors such as planning, mentoring, practicum, teacher education universities visits to schools, communication and inconsistencies that seemed to characters the relationship. The findings suggest that the partnership between pedagogy universities and schools can be enhanced by recognizing the interdependent nature of the relationship, the diversification of areas of universities - schools joint activity, and increased closely conversations between the partners about problems which are suitable to the arrangement. The result of the research may provide insights into factors that focus on undermining the effectiveness of partnerships, as well as the implications of these for the professional development of prospective teachers.
In this study, instrumented indentation testing was conducted at room temperature for the investigation of the effect of strain rate on the hardness and yield strength in the weld zone of a commonly used structural steel, SM520. A number of indentation tests were undertaken at a number of strain rate values from 0.02 s −1 to 0.2 s −1 in the weld metal (WM), heat-affected zone (HAZ), and base metal (BM) regions of the weld zone. The mechanical properties including yield strength (σ y ) and hardness (H) in WM, HAZ, and BM were then computed from the applied load-penetration depth curves using a proposed method. As the result, the effects of strain rate indentation on yield strength and hardness in all regions of the weld zone were evaluated. The results displayed that hardness and yield strength in the weld zone's components are influenced on the strain rate, where both hardness and yield strength decrease with the decreasing strain rate.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the degree awareness and skills to which lecturers manage classroom relating to improve the activities in the class effectively. This study used a quantitative approach to data collection. Questionnaire consisted of awareness and evaluation of 96 lecturers and students about classroom management in Vietnam universities. The reliability of the test was calculated with the SPSS 18.0 package software. The findings reflect three components in classroom management of lecturers: Building the classroom environment; Developing regulations and guidelines in classroom teaching and engaging students in classroom management. Upon the model, participants realized the importance of lectures in classroom management. Most lecturers and students have access to the contents of classroom management in the teaching process and carry out their learning tasks. Lectures tried their best to carry out in three basic contents. However, students' do not have enough time to approach and master it before graduation and there are also the number of students who think their lecturers perform unusually or never implemented some activities such as engaging students in classroom management. The paper adds to the growing literature on classroom management in higher education and takes place semi interview lecturers and students. In addition, the paper also provides evidence of the process in which lecturers manage the class to adjust the view of lecturers, students, administration in the university to improve the learning activities. In addition, the paper invites reflection on the design and implementation of researchers from academic developers, education practitioners and researchers in similar contexts.
The study analyzes the responses of 853 pre-service teachers on the influence levels of factors affecting online learning motivation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. The sociological research method through online questionnaires via Google Forms and SPSS 26.0 software was used to analyze the results of the influence of the groups of factors on online learning motivation (OLM). According to the findings, the intrinsic and extrinsic factors proposed in the study are positively correlated with the online learning motivation of pre-service teachers, confirming the initial assumption that all groups of variables are having a "+" relationship with the online learning motivation of pre-service teachers in Viet Nam in the context of online adaptation to the pandemic. Notably, the strongest correlations are in the instructor/lecturer and the engagement of the family and society variables, with the latter being the "infrastructure, technology and learning resources” variable. This has suggested a stronger family-school-community relationship, the important role of instructors, and the need to improve the quality of infrastructure and technology to maintain online learning motivation and ensure social justice in learning for students with difficult circumstances. These will ensure maximum support to groups of students living in rural or mountainous areas and islands (digital gap) while reconstructing the higher education system in Viet Nam in the "new normal".
