This study aims to describe the ethnic group or tribe is a group of people whose members identify themselves with one another, usually based on lineage are considered the same as culture, language, religion traits, behaviors, or biological. Ethnicity is a fundamental factor in human life, interactions and intrinsic property of a group. The method of research used content analysis approaches and ethnographic art. The results showed determination by mixing or races as “Peranakan”: for a mixture of Malay race with China, people who are determined according to their religion, for Malays in Malaysia it meant that the Muslim bumiputera, “the Mestis” for Hispanic mix by bumiputera. Upin Ipin-released on September 14, 2010 in Malaysia and produced by Les’ Copaque. The results of this study show Upin-Ipin filled with simplicity in bringing Islamic values, education, manners, and respect among fellow was meant for all people of good Malaysian nation or religion. Good relations between different cultures (Malay, Chinese, Indian) were described in this animated film. Upin-Ipin animated movie brings the perfect image and message, ie, with different cultures can create a good relationship with the harmony of differences in unity and simplicity.

In its development, the existence of ethnic Indonesians Chinese descent is inseparable from the development of governmental system in the Country. Since the New Order era, the ethnic members have been playing pivotal role in economic realm. However a significant development occurred during the era of Abdurrahman Wahid administration that allowed access for Indonesians Chinese to attend school or study in public universities. Since then, educational institutions in Indonesia have been accommodated multiculturalism by recognising the existence of various ethnics in Indonesia, although the term of minority for certain ethnics still become problem and inherent identity. Sebagai pusat ibukota negara serta pusat industri dan bisnis, maka Jakarta menjadi daerah yang berbeda dibandingkan daerah lainnya di Indonesia. Sehingga, dibutuhkan strategi serta upaya khusus yang harus dilakukan oleh pemerintah DKI Jakarta untuk menarik para wisatawan lokal dan wisatawan asing untuk mau tinggal lebih lama di Jakarta. Karena berdasarkan hasil observasi yang peneliti dapatkan dari observasi awal yang dilakukan adalah, bahwa lebih dari 70% para wisatawan yang datang ke Jakarta adalah wisatawan bisnis yang hanya dtang untuk tujuan bisnis. Ini menjadi tantangan tersediri untuk pemerintah DKI Jakarta agar para wisatawan tersebut juga dapat melakukan hal yang berbeda di Jakarta dan tidak hanya untuk tujuan bisnis saja. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji tentang upaya komunikasi pariwisata berstandar internasional yang telah dilakukan oleh Dinas Pariwisata dan Budaya DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang tujuannnya untuk mendeskripsikan lebih dalam data lapangan hingga penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun sebagai hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah hal yang paling utama dalam membangun komunikasi pariwisata berstandar internasional adalah berkaitan dengan kenyamanan dan keamanan. Langkah yang sudah dilakukan adalah dengan membangun moda transportasi terintegrasi yang aman dan efisien, membangun sinergisitas dengan semua pihak yang terkait baik dari pemerintah pusat, dinas terkait hingga sektor swasta yang bergerak dalam bidang wisata. Serta turut serta mempromosikan semua event yang dilakukan di Jakarta baik skala nasional maupun internasional. Adapun sebagai simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah Support Shopping, Tourism, Culiner, History adalah empat komponen yang menjadi fokus komunikasi pariwisata berstandar internasional serta dianggap sudah mampu memenuhi kebutuhan para wisatawan yang datang ke Jakarta. Menempatkan pengusaha swasta yang bergerak dibidang pariwisata sebagai marketer yang turut terlibat mempromosikan serta menjual wisata dan budaya Betawi di Jakarta yang disesuaikan dengan sektor bisnis yang dikelola. Hal tersebut dikarenakan, sebagai ibukota dengan pusat industri dan bisnis, maka pemerintah DKI Jakarta pun mengelola pariwisata dan budaya yang ada di Jakarta sebagai produk industri yang harus dipromosikan dan dijual dalam kemasan standar internasional.
