Open government is not just the obligation of government and right of a citizen. It does require not only transparency and participation but also synergy and collaboration of many parties. Collaboration among Academician, Businessmen, Government and Community (ABGC) has been carried out in Bojonegoro Regency through the application of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). As a part of the implementation of open regional government, open government is carried out through intensive communication between the local government and the community. To embody the achievement of the Open Government Partnership, Bojonegoro Regency prepares OGP Action Plan annually. The five main focuses of the OGP action plan are data revolution, strengthening the accountability of village government, increasing transparency of the regional budget system, strengthening the transparency of contract documents for procurement of goods/services, and improvement of the quality of public services. The open governance provides benefits to the communities as they have closer communication with the local government. The absence of partition between the government and the community supporting e-government has encouraged the community's participation in conveying complaints, suggestions, criticisms, and proposals to the government through various means. The management mechanism dealing with complaints and responses submitted to the local government, supported by regulations which become the legal umbrella for openness, makes Bojonegoro become the OGP pilot regency which is equal to other fourteen countries in Asia, Europe, America, and Africa.

Ecotourism, as a concept of sustainable tourism, is used in the development of rural tourism. Ecotourism concerns about the conservation of nature and culture, the participation of local residents, the transfer of knowledge to visitors, and the small scale of tourism to preserve the environment capability. The process of community empowerment through the development of rural tourism in Cireundeu was triggered by a discourse about the reactivation of Leuwi Gajah landfill. Objections to the landfill have been voiced, but they did not manage to cause the landfill to be inactive. Using a qualitative approach, this study describes the process of community empowerment through the development of rural tourism by raising the potentials of Cireundeu as an indigenous village. Cireundeu's culture is still maintained by its community. For instance, cassava is still consumed as a primary food, local arts and ritual Also ceremonies are still held. Cireundeu society is a subject in the process of empowerment by acquiring inputs from various parties.

Keberhasilan sebuah program pemberdayaan di masyarakat adalah ketika adanya keberlanjutan program tersebut meskipun terminasi sudah dilakukan. Ada berbagai hal yang disiapkan dalam menjamin keberlanjutan sebuah program salah satunya terkait keberadaan local champion. Program pengelolaan sampah plastik berbasis komunitas di Pulau Pramuka, Kepulauan Seribu yang diinisiasi pada tahun 2020 masih berlanjut hingga sekarang. Program ini dahulunya didampingi oleh Yayasan Get Plastic Indonesia yang didukung oleh PT. Astra dan bekerjasama dengan Rumah Literasi Hijau. Setelah lebih kurang dari dua tahun setelah proses pendampingnan selesai dilakukan, Rumah Literasi Hijau sebagai organisasi local yang terus komitmen melanjutkan program ini di wilayah setempat bahkan juga sudah mereplikasi ke pulau-pulau sekitar di Kepulauan Seribu. Dampak sosial lingkungan dari keberlanjutan program ini dirasakan oleh masyarakat setempat. Melalui penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dampak sosial yang muncul dari program tersebiut di atas digambarkan. Pertama adanya dampak ekonomi bagi pegiat wisata dan masyarakat setempat karena program ini menjadi program percontohan untuk wilayah yang berhasil melakukan pengeloaan sampah plastik di sumbernya sehingga meningkatkan angka kunjungnan wisata khususnya untuk wisata edukasi. Selain itu dengan terjaganya wilayah perairan di sekitar pulau juga membawa dampak ekonomi yang baik bagi para nelayan. Selanjutnya dampak sosial, dengan adanya fasilitas pengelolaan sampah di Pulau Pramuka, tingkat pengetahuan warga mengenai pengeloaan sampah menjadi lebih baik sehingga juga menimbulkan kesadaran warga untuk bijak menggunakan plastik.
