To maintain the standard, design and structure of Indian academic library websites, it is highly recommended for regular assessment of library web portals to increase their usability and accessibility. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability, efficiency, and effectiveness of selected central universities libraries websites of North East India. On the basis of the present study, it is found that most of selected central universities libraries websites of North-Eastern region of India were ignoring their usability features and there is numerous scope of further improvement in terms of applications of Web 2.0 tools, web searching features, library committee, website update, website map, website multilingual option, etc.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability, efficiency, and effectiveness of thirty National Institutes of Technology (NIT) Libraries websites in India. Most of the selected Libraries websites are very simple and had very basic and common usability features in terms of General Information, Available library services, about website, Website search facility, Use of web 2.0 applications, Page load time and Mobile friendly test, etc. There is enormous scope for improvement. Findings of the study will help to improve upon the usability features of selected libraries websites that will finally benefit the library users who are using library facilities and services remotely. Study will also help the webmasters to check their websites on timely basis to increase usability scores based on online usability tools.
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected every walk of human life in unprecedented ways. During the lockdown, social media tools became a driving force leading to their best usage and receiving recognition for entertaining, learning and influencing daily lifestyles. Social Media Influencers have been admired and acknowledged for influencing people and providing innovative solutions to day-to-day problems maintaining a standard livelihood. This study evaluates the engagement of Indian female influencers during the pandemic extracting the reaction of audiences towards the content uploaded to YouTube through sentiment analysis, by classifying the influencers into five categories, such as Beauty & Fashion, Comedy, Food, Health & Fitness and Travel. The study reveals upload of content to YouTube increased rigorously during the pandemic however comments posted by audiences decrease simultaneously. Yet, the sentiment of the audience is substantially positive, primarily towards the food category. The duration of content uploaded is short and conveniently less time-consuming for the audience, attracting their attention and leading to prompt mention, feedback and comments within the 24-h of uploading content to YouTube. The study highlights that females are abruptly adapting to the social changes and also making it resourceful for the community by practising social media.
Academic library websites are considered an integral tool for disseminating libraries’ information, resources, and services. It also encourages users to interact and use library resources and services remotely. The spread of COVID-19 and the nationwide lockdown shifted the education system to an online mode of teaching and learning. The present study aims to analyse the usability criteria of the Central Universities’ library websites, the availability of various facilities & services provided during the pandemic, to know the mode of information dissemination during the pandemic, andthe preventive measures undertaken by the Central University library websites to combat the Corona Virus.The study reveals that Aligarh Muslim University and the Central University of Orissa have adopted all possible means and modes to provide information to its users to combat the struggles during the pandemic through their library websites. However, certain Central University websites like the Central University of South Bihar have provided the least services for their users during the pandemic. The study also highlighted the essential steps initiated by the selected libraries to fulfill the information needs of their users, and those services may be opted by others to meet the post-lockdown needs.
