This quantitative research which is descriptive and correlation in nature aims to examine the relationship of learning styles to the results of student academic achievement. The population in this study were students of SMP X Airmadidi. The sampling technique used is the convenience sampling method. The number of respondents in this study were 93 students. The instruments used in this study were a questionnaire adapted from Maramis (2012) and the average student scores listed in the report cards for Semester 1. Academic Year 2020-2021. The data analysis technique used to determine the level of student learning styles and the level of student academic achievement is the Mean score and Correlation to determine the relationship between learning style and academic achievement. The results showed that the three learning styles possessed by students were in the high category and the level of student achievement in very good category. Furthermore, the results of this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. It is recommended that teachers should pay attention to learning styles using practice, especially using visual aids when teaching in class.
Pengendalian diri atau kontrol diri punya peran yang penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat sehingga menarik untuk diteliti terkait hubungannya dengan perilaku konsumtif. Untuk itu, penelitian ini dibuat untuk mengetahui tingkat kontrol diri, tingkat perilaku konsumtif, serta hubungan antara kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif khususnya pada mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) di salah satu universitas swasta yang ada di Sulawesi Utara. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dan korelatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 200 mahasiswa. Selanjutnya, nilai rerata digunakan untuk mencari tahu tingkat kontrol diri dan perilaku konsumtif. Sementara untuk mencari tahu hubungan kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif maka digunakan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah (1) kontrol diri mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi atau mahasiswa setuju dapat mengontrol diri dalam berbelanja dengan nilai rerata 4.10; (2) perilaku konsumtif mahasiswa berada pada kategori rendah atau mahasiswa tidak setuju bahwa mereka berperilaku konsumtif atau mengonsumsi barang secara berlebihan dalam berbelanja dengan nilai rerata 2.35, serta (3) hasil analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat dan signifikan secara negatif antara sikap kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif dengan nilai rxy= -0.360 dan nilai signifikansi p 0.000<0.05. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi kontrol diri pada mahasiswa, semakin rendah perilaku konsumtifnya.

The researcher adapted the questionnaire from Khasanah (2021) and Diendrich (1992) and then distributed it to 125 students of class VIII A, B, C, and D at Adventist Junior High School Airmadidi Unklab to find out whether the discussion learning method was often used for student learning activities in social studies subjects.
