The rapid development of information technology is one of the answers to the fulfillment of the need for information systems of all types of organizations. Information technology capability in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes in an organization makes information technology believed to be able to be a tool in accelerating the organization's steps to achieve business goals. The university as an educational organization cannot be separated from the use of this information technology. The development of information technology services is so important to support and provide maximum services in the education service sector. A tangible manifestation of information technology development in education services in the form of developing academic information systems. To find out the level of service that has been successfully provided to users through the implementation of an academic information system would require evaluation in the form of information system governance. COBIT figures have provided assessment parameters that can provide the highest size and how well the management and performance of information technology in an institution using a maturity model. Qualitative methods are used to collect, process, analyze and conclude data in order to obtain maturity levels in the COBIT region 4.1. The number of respondents to be used in this study were 120 respondents. Data processing obtained from the average over the entire IT process has a current maturity level which gives good results with a maturity level of 2.95. With the expected maturity level of 5, it means that there is a maturity gap so it needs to be given an improvement strategy that contains steps to achieve the expected level of maturity.
