Higher education institutions promote flexible learning environment to students in accomplishing learning objectives. By allowing ‘everywhere and anytime’ environment to students for learning plus technical infrastructure, they may have more opportunities to learn and practice their knowledge for achieving success. The purpose of the study is to document and give some elaboration on their experience in blended learning environment. By obtaining result form survey from 139 students with science and technology background, this study highlights three elements of blended learning namely achievement in learning, improvement of learning skill and adoption of social presence. There is a positive perception in blended learning environment among students of Computer Science. According to the results, blended learning in i-Learn platform offers great flexibility, which allows students to have easy access to allows learning at any time and place.
The University has an important role to prepare their students with the knowledge they need in order to competently compete in professional activities after graduation. In addition to encourage students’ creative thinking skills in multimedia interactive projects, project-based learning aligns students’ views with the industry’s needs, since it gives students the opportunity to do the real world applications beyond the classroom. This paper intends to investigate the impact of project-based learning with collaborative learning on the academic achievement and learning motivation of undergraduate students who are taking Multimedia course. Data analysis were done using descriptive analysis. Based on the survey conducted by this study, most of the students agreed that collaborative learning could help them practice a set of skills that will be demanded by future employers such as creativity, working in group, problem solving techniques, leadership and the ability to generate innovative ideas. These skills help them leverage their interpersonal skills as well as having the knowledge they are learning in the university. The values obtained from the learning process will shape them as quality graduates to serve their future employers.
COVID-19 gives a drastic change in our lifestyle. In education, it effects on motivation, routine and the dilemma in using certain application. The university has taken various proactive measures for ensuring the productivity of their stakeholders. Students and instructors are changing their teaching and learning style which this impact on learning technology usage while having online class. This paper shares COVID-19 story in terms of learning system development online which is challenging for learners and instructors. They need to adjust themselves so that the message is conveyed, and problem is solved during the online class. This paper looks at how the learners and instructors manage their online class by using an online prototype tool, Justinmind, for assisting them to learn system development during COVID-19. The learners have been asked to plan, gather, and design the user interface according to the requirements stated previously. This study found out that there are some difficulties in conducting system development class in online mode since there is a change of routine as well as teaching and learning style. However, the difficulties have been addressed by the utilization of the technology and thus creating more exciting journey for the class regardless of the pandemic era.
