The metgodological tool for the scientific practice of nursing is the Nursing Process, which enables critical thinking in solving problems. The use of this methodology has bestowed autonomy on the profession and its use is important in clinical practice and teaching. Aim: To develop skills in implanting, developing and assessing a nursing design with the focus on self-care using NANDA NIC NOC. Enfermería Global Nº 23 Julio 2011 Página 90 Methodology: The Self-Care Defecit Theory and the stages of the Nursing Process were analysed and two tools were constructed: 1) Diagnostic Reasoning, which includes valoration and diagnosis; 2) Care Plan: the planning, execution and assessment of the Nursing Process. Results: The tools were applied to clinical practice in the areas of Mother-child, Older Adults and Community Nursing. Students and teachers participated after following a workshop course on General Theory of Self-Care, NANDA, NIC, NOC Taxonomies and structure and content of the tools, Clinical cases were presented in a final forum on clinical practicea. Conclusions: The tools were considered to be resources that help in teaching the NP to students of nursing beginning to work in clinical practices.
Objective: To understand the meaning of well-being of older persons in situation of abandonment. Methods: a qualitative phenomenological study, carried out in a nursing home in Tepic, Nayarit, from 2017 to 2019. Intentional sampling with 12 older persons aged 60 and above. Data collection occurred by phenomenological interview. The ethical criteria of the General Health Law were respected. Participants signed the Informed Consent Form. Data analysis took place through phenomenological analysis. Results: four themes have emerged: 1. Living Activities of Daily Living; 2. Attention to physical needs; 3. Coexistence; 4. Spirituality experience. Conclusion: for older persons, living institutionalized implies a process of adaptation and transformation to their context and state of life, restructuring their needs that provide well-being. It is important to approach these scenarios to establish ways of experiencing aging that favor a full quality of life.
Introducción. El envejecimiento es un proceso fisiológico normal, que favorece la aparición de enfermedades y el consumo de medicamentos, diversas investigaciones han mostrado que medir la percepción personal del estado de salud del adulto mayor es útil como un indicador global. Objetivo. Determinar la influencia del uso de polifarmacia en la autopercepción del estado de salud del Adulto Mayor. Metodología. Estudio cuantitativo, correlacional y aplicado, transversal. Universo 1578 AM del INAPAM de Tepic, Nayarit, una muestra de 59 AM con polifarmacia y 59 AM sin polifarmacia. Se aplicó un instrumento con 3 apartados: Una para medir variables sociodemográficas, segunda para medir la polifarmacia y última para medir autopercepción del estado de salud con el instrumento de NPH versión en español. El análisis estadístico se realizó con STATA 13.0®, estadística descriptiva para variables sociodemográficas e inferencial para conocer el efecto, impacto y significancia de las variables. Resultados y discusión. Se encontró el 62% generó femenino, un rango de edad 60 a 89 años, 46% con polifarmacia, 66.6 % consumen de 4 a 6 medicamentos al día. Los AM con polifarmacia tienen cinco posibilidades más de presentar la autopercepción del estado de salud malo y las dimensiones energía, dolor y sueño. Conclusiones. La asociación entre polifarmacia y autopercepción del estado de salud malo, es fuerte e influye negativamente, por lo que es interesante incluirlo como indicador de salud para identificar alteraciones en las dimensiones y enfatizar la atención en ellas.
