The purpose of this study is to find out how the storynomics tourism approach can be used as an effective tourism marketing destination. In this case, Tangkuban Parahu in West Java, Indonesia. Tangkuban Parahu has historical and folklore values that are trusted by the wider community so that this will build the branding power of the destination. The challenge is how this message can be conveyed to tourists not only convey the value of myth but also packaged in other forms so as to provide educational value to each visitor. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection is done through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results show that the storynomics approach can be used as an effective strategy in marketing the Tangkuban Parahu destination, which can indirectly increase interest in visiting the place.
Imbalan atau kompensasi adalah faktor penting yang mempengaruhi bagaimana dan mengapa orang-orang bekerja pada suatu perusahaan dan bukan pada perusahaan yang lainnya. Perusahaan harus cukup kompetitif dengan beberapa jenis kompensasi untuk mempekerjakan, mempertahankan, dan memberi imbalan terhadap kinerja setiap individu di dalam organisasinya.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif (regresi berganda) dengan analisis deskriptif dan verifikatif, dengan penggunaansampel untuk pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 30 responden. Hasil penelitian deskriptif menyatakan bahwa kompensasi langsung dalam kategori baik, kompensasi tidak langsung dalam kategori baik, dan kinerja dalam kategori baik. Sedangkan hasil analisis verifikatif menyatakan bahwa pengaruh kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan sebesar 0,619 atau 61.90% dan signifikan.
West Java Province has many tourism potencies, consisted of nature, history or culture. In its development, tourism in West Java has not delivered a strategic solution to problematic among the people. Referring to the Legislation of Tourism No.10/2009, one of the principles on tourism establishment is to provide benefit on people’s wealthy and to empower local people. In this study, the locus of Karang Paranje has been chosen by the consideration that Karang Paranje is a potential area to become a tourist destination in coastal and marine for tourists to enjoy nature. Nevertheless, the potencies could not give optimum benefit to people. In aiming the goal, a proper administration is needed, such like building tourism awareness among people about coastal tourism potencies, and the needs of people empowering, building independence that will affect in increasing people’s income. These potencies could be explored as an agenda by Government of Garut Regency to follow up, not to stop at study identifying tourism potencies, but to implement that to be saleable tourism product. The method conducted in this study was exploration qualitative whilst the data gathering used some techniques: observation, questionnaire and in-depth interview, followed by the socialization of the design of tourism development potencies. This study involved some parties such as Government, private sectors (industry), associations, people, and fishermen, so tourism as the leading sector could give a multiplier effect in the community.
The purpose of this study is to compare the cultural heritage tourism preservation in two heritage sites between Kota Tua Jakarta in Indonesia and Old Town Central in Hong Kong. The study focused on preservation system and efforts such as funding, management, ownership, stakeholder's involvement, spatial distribution within the sites, community concerns on tourism and signage besides the physical setting of the sites. This explorative research used qualitative approach to obtain more accurate results in the context of comparisons between two cultural heritage sites. In this study, we do field and online observation techniques, documentation, notes and literature studies. To obtain the primary data, on-site observation sessions were conducted directly in the Old Town Central Hong Kong and Kota Tua Jakarta area, in-depth interviews and photo documentation was made as well. Besides, the secondary data collection for the Old Town of Jakarta was done through online literature study in the form of news, trip advisor and travel note. This paper raises suggestions to settle some ways of preserving historical heritage by making a comparative discussion on the differences in the legislation, administration and government supports in the two countries such as Hong Kong and Indonesia that can be applied in any kind of cultural heritage tourism sites performance for sustainability purposes.
