The impact of divorce is very important to pay attention to and one way to overcome it is to forgive which is influenced by several emotions, namely empathy. This study aims to determine the relationship of empathy with the forgiveness of children victims of divorce in early adulthood. The subjects of this study were 100 children of divorce victims in early adulthood selected through purposive sampling techniques. The measuring instruments in this study used a forgiveness scale and an empathy scale. The results of the validity test of the forgiveness scale and the empathy scale are obtained from the calculated r value of > 0.300, that is, there are 35 valid items each, then the results of the reability test calculation produce an alpha value of >0,600 which means that both scales are declared reliable. The data analysis technique using pearson product moment correlation analysis yields a calculated r value > r table (0.447 > 0.197) and p = 0.000. The results of these calculations show a significant positive relationship between empathy and the forgiveness of children victims of divorce in early adulthood.
