IntroductionMental health problems are serious issues in Indonesia. The prevalence of severe mental disorder in Indonesian population is 1.7‰. In community, people with mental disorder are often stigmatized, while in fact this stigmatization could negatively impact them. One of the most common form of discrimination toward people with mental disorder is the practice of pasung.MethodThis research conducted a survey study on 1,269 respondents in East Java (in which the prevalence of severe mental disorder is 2.2‰). The instruments used were Community Attitudes towards Mental Illness (CAMI), Mental Health Knowledge Schedule (MAKS), and a sociodemographic questionnaire.ResultThe result shows that better knowledge about mental health was associated with lower public stigma toward people with mental disorder. Significance differences in stigma toward people with mental illness were also found across groups of age, sex, experience of contact, history of mental disorder, attitude toward pasung, marital status, and income level.ConclusionThe finding implies that anti-stigma interventions in Indonesia should consider associated sociodemographic factors and use psychosocial approach to improve literacy and contact with mental health patients.
The main objective of this study is to examine the role of family support in the entrepreneurial intentions of college students, particularly the role of fathers. Understanding entrepreneurial intentions in the context of college students are imperative to encouraging future entrepreneurial behaviors. Family support is an important external factor in predicting college students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Another aspect of family support that must be considered is the unique role of father nurturance, specifically, in relation to college students’ entrepreneurial intentions. The respondents consisted of 189 college students between the ages of 18 and 25 years studying in Surabaya. The study utilized quantitative and correlational approaches with data analyzed using regression. The main data collection tool used in the study was a questionnaire. The research findings show that family support has a significant positive influence on entrepreneurial intentions in college students. Father nurturance is a moderating variable that strengthens the influence of family support and entrepreneurial intentions on college students. The implication of this research is to highlight the importance of the family’s role in supporting the entrepreneurial process. In addition, fathers, specifically, play a unique role as supporters and positive role models in increasing the entrepreneurial intentions of college students.

Objectives: The involvement of parents in raising children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is crucial for both the child’s development and family functioning. However, studies relating to parental involvement in parenting children with ASD mainly focus on the mother’s perspective, resulting in a lack of understanding of the father’s role. On the other hand, the father involvement in parenting plays a vital role in children, partners, and family dynamics. Methods: The current research is a literature review utilizing a database called Scopus. The main objectives of the paper are to examine predictors of father involvement in parenting children with ASD and to provide an overview of fathers’ experiences in raising children with ASD. Results: A total of 100 articles were found. After the screening and review process, 21 articles were included in the main review. The literature review found that studies relating to father involvement in parenting children with ASD are dominated by research on the impacts on parents and descriptions of fathers’ experiences raising children with ASD. Discussion: Therefore, it is necessary to conduct studies on the predictors of father involvement in parenting children with ASD. In addition, the majority of studies on the parenting of fathers of children with ASD examine the issue from a Western perspective, thus necessitating broader studies. The research limitations are outlined in the article.
