The aim of this study was to examine the role of entrepreneurial marketing as a mediating variable in the relationship between environmental turbulence and dynamic capability with sustainable competitive advantage. This study involved 130 craft industries in Malang Regency, Malang City, and Batu City, East Java, Indonesia. Application of loading factor followed by SEM-PLS developed a model showing how environmental turbulence and dynamic capability influence on entrepreneurial marketing which consequently leads to differentiation and performance improvement which are the established indicators of sustainable competitive advantage for the firms. The model was empirically validated using model fit indices and was found satisfactory. The findings show that environmental turbulence did not have any significant relationship with a sustainable competitive advantage. Dynamic capability had a significant relationship with a sustainable competitive advantage. Entrepreneurial Marketing mediates the relationship between environmental dynamic capabilities with sustainable competitive advantage. The analysis shows that highly dynamic capability and entrepreneurial marketing tends to highly sustainable competitive advantage. It indicated that dynamic capability and entrepreneurial marketing offer systematic model for supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to build a well-maintained environment and sustainable competitive advantage.
This research aimed to analyze the effect of leverage and asymmetry information on the firm value through cash holding as mediation variable. A sample of this research was saturated sample and census, consisted 56 firms related the population criteria. This research used secondary data from the firm financial report through path analysis method. This research showed that leverage had a negative effect on the cash holdings, asymmetry information had a negative effect on the firm value through cash holding, and cash holding had a negative effect on the firm value. With leverage and effect on cash, holding cannot affect the firm value, due to investor risk-averse, investor risk seeker, and neutral investor has their own point of view in assessing the company. Cash holdings can lead to asymmetric information that can lead to agency conflict that can affect a company's performance, so that indirectly, with the existence of asymmetry information had an effect on the declining the firm value.
Development of information technology (IT) has been driven changes in various fields, one of which is in marketing. The use of IT in marketing will not be separated from internet, where e-commerce services have now emerged that allow businesses to conduct face-to-face transactions by removing barriers related to distance in interacting with customers, so that every stakeholder will have same opportunity for promoting their products. On the other, Indonesia is country fourth largest population in the world, where 99.8 percent of its business units are small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Although the number of business units in the SMEs sector is very large, ecommerce adoption is still dominated by large business units, so research related to the adoption of e-commerce by SMEs is still very limited, especially in developing countries. This study aims to fill that research gap. In this study a TOE framework will be examined to determine the determinants of e-commerce adoption by SMEs. TOE framework considers technology, organization and environment variables to measure adoption of information technology. Analysis of TOE framework will consider empirical literature. This study also makes recommendations for future research.
