There are many website usability measurement. Therefore, researcher that focus on usability measurement need to select the best method for usability evaluation to get the best result. This paper review website measurement that has classify to usability inspection, usability inquiry and usability testing. Some of usability measurement focus on experts only to measure the evaluation and some of measurement focus on real users. Each of website measurement have advantage and disadvantage. Researcher need to determine the scope, context and the reason when evaluate usability for website. This paper found that survey is common method that used by researcher because it save cost and can gather a population easily.
Currently, learning idioms is included in Level One syllabus for primary school students. However, more often that not students need to traditionally refer to its meaning via physical dictionary. Certain students find learning through this method is outdated and difficult; thus, may tend to demotivate them to learn. Considering the aforementioned issues, an interactive learning tool called, MySimB' was developed using Augmented Reality approach. The main aim for developing MySimB' is to assist primary school students in learning standard Malay idioms easily and effectively. Learning idioms through MySimB' also provides better understanding for primary school students, teachers and parents due to its interactive feature which was attractively designed and developed. With its Augmented Reality approach, students are expected to be more involved with their learning process and have high interest and motivation in learning Malay idioms; thereby, improve students' achievement.
Nowadays, students in primary school in Malaysia need to learn Simpulan Bahasa as one of syllabus in Bahasa Melayu. Manually learner or primary student can refer the meaning for Simpulan Bahasa through physical dictionary. It is however quite ancient and sometimes burdensome for students to bring that dictionary. The purpose of this paper is to present the research of learning Simpulan Bahasa named “MySimB” which provide better learning language using web based. MySimb’ is interactive website which was developed to ease and fun learning for primary students, teachers and parents to learn or teach on Simpulan Bahasa. This website provide index using alphabetic, meaning and an example of sentence for each Simpulan Bahasa, search for Simpulan Bahasa and games to attract the students. The benefits of using MySimB’ in learning as it can engage students in the learning process, improve their achievement and increase their motivation towards learning Bahasa Melayu focus on Simpulan Bahasa.
IDS (Intrusion Detection System) is a security component that protects computer and network systems. Variety of methods have been developed to improve the IDS accuracy. One of the most recent approaches is the use of real-time monitoring and irregular activity detection. When an intrusion is detected, a message will be sent to the network administrator. One of the disadvantages of IDS is the possibility of a bad packet by-passing through network traffic. As a result, an improvement on the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is explored in this study to enhance attack detection in IDS. Standard and attack events are described using the NSL-KDD dataset. In this study, the Magnetic Optimization Algorithm (MOA) is combined with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) named PSOMOA, thus to increase the classification rate and achieve high detection accuracy in IDS. MOA is a heuristic optimization algorithm which deals with attraction between particles scattered in the search space and inspired by magnetic field theory in physics. NSL-KDD dataset represented as attacks and normal activities used in this study. Smurf and Neptune attacks are selected for testifying detection and classification ability of attack category of proposed PSOMOA. During the experimentation process, four of the most important features of the dataset were selected. The PSOMOA findings are compared to those of the other form, which employs PSO and MOA. According to the obtained results, the proposed PSOMOA could increase IDS accuracy by up to 99.5%.
Simpulan Bahasa is one of essential learning subject in Malaysia. Most students learn Simpulan Bahasa by reading books, which considered as normal/manual practice. If student intent to search Simpulan Bahasa, student have to search through books as the dictionary of proverbs. It is however quite ancient and sometimes burdensome for student to bring the dictionary. According to this matter, MySimB’ was developed through mobile learning using ADDIE methodology. The development of MySimB’ inention is to help primary school student to learn a standard Malay Simpulan Bahasa easily and effectively. MySimB’ is interactive website which was developed to ease learning and interactive medium for student, teacher and parent to learn or teach Simpulan Bahasa. MySimB’ provide index using alphabetic, meaning and an example of sentence for each Simpulan Bahasa, searching and learning games to attract student in Simpulan Bahasa learning.
