Background: The clinical competence of nurses should be maintained to ensure patient safety. Competence is the integration of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Nurse competency also improves the quality of nursing care and reduces the incidence of missed nursing care. This study aimed to explore the experiences of nurses maintaining a nurse competence system in hospitals through continuing education.Design and Methods: The research method used was qualitative phenomenological research, and the data was collected through an in-depth interview which was consist of six participants.Results: The results of the research were 1). continuing professional development to maintain the competence, 2) credentialing system in the career ladder system, 3). missed care still occurred in the implementation of nursing services 4). Nurses had hopes that managers supported the efforts to maintain competence through continuing professional development.Conclusion: Nurse managers are expected to improve the supervision program to maintain clinical competence and decrease missed care.
Latar Belakang: Hipertensi yang tidak terkontrol dapat menimbulkan komplikasi seperti 45% kematian karena penyakit jantung dan 51% kematian karena penyakit stroke. Pada penderita hipertensi perlu dilakukan pengendalian tekanan darah dan edukasi dari tenaga kesehatan untuk meminimalisir terjadinya komplikasi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pelayanan edukasi dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien hipertensi di poliklinik penyakit dalam RSUD.dr.Chasbullah Abdul Madjid Kota Bekasi. Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel yang digunakan 103 responden. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pelayanan edukasi dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien hipertensi dengan nilai p value 0,000 < 0,05. Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan antara pelayanan edukasi dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien hipertensi. Saran: Rumah Sakit dr.Chasbullah Abdul Madjid perlu meningkatkan pelayanan edukasi di poliklinik penyakit dalam dan melakukan penilaian tingkat kepuasan pasien yang dilakukan secara berkala seiring dengan upaya peningkatan kualitas pelayanan.
Latar Belakang: Luka Diabetes merupakan luka kronis yang susah disembuhkan berasal dari komplikasi penyakit diabetes. Luka diabetes sebagian besar dilakukan tindakan amputasi dan memiliki dampak kepada psikologi pasien. Sehingga diperlukan intervensi yang dapat mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka. Telaah literature review ini betujuan untuk mengetahui Efektifitas Modern Dressing Hydrocolloid Terhadap Penyembuhan Luka Pada Pasien Diabetes Mellitus berbasis Level of evidence based practice (EBP). Metode: Penelitian studi literature review dengan metode pencarian menggunakan electronice data base. Kriteria inklusi yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan jurnal intervensi untuk mengatasi permasalahan luka diabetes mellitus yang dapat diakses secara full text. Tahun Jurnal yang digunakan dibatasi 2016-2021. Berdasarkan telaah literature dari 8 artikel. Hasil: Hasil telaah literature review menunjukkan bahwa metode modern dressing hydrocolloid dapat meningkatkan penyembuhan luka pada pasien diabetes mellitus. Kesimpulan: Perawat dapat mengaplikasikan cara modern dreesing hydrocolloid dalam penyembuhan, sehingga dapat tercapainya asuhan keperawatan.
Background: Patient safety is a major concern in the healthcare industry worldwide. Increasing patient safety is critical for avoiding negative outcomes in nursing care and achieving goals at the desired level of quality. One of the indicators of this quality care given to patient is known as missed care. Aim: Aims of this study to explore the factors influencing missed care in order to improve the quality of nursing care. Methods: This study is a systematic review that explores the factors influencing missed nursing care in hospitals. Meanwhile, the literature search was carried out in the CINAHL Pubmed, Ebsco, Science Direct, Proquest, Willey, Sage from 2017 to 2021. Results: The results from six databases (n=3702) were sorted into 22 collected articles which include 18 quantitative, 2 qualitative, and 2 mixed methods. These findings highlighted three factors that influence missed nursing care: a lack of staffing, nurse competency, and the working environment. Conclusion: The factors that contribute with missed nursing care in hospitals include lack of nurse staff, competency, and work environment. As a result, the nursing manager's critical role is to create adequate nursing staff, improve their competency, and foster a positive work environment.
