In this paper we use a network topology approach to examine the interrelationship of 55 world currencies which is based on correlation analysis. With this point of view, those relationships can be measured by a correlation structure among currencies. To analyse that network, we filter the important information contained therein by using minimum spanning tree, and we interpret it by using a centrality measures. This topology will gives us a useful guide to understand their behaviour and to determine the dominance currency in the network as part of a complex network. The results show that HKD-Hong Kong Dollar is the most dominance currencies, followed by in order of importance; SGD-Singapore Dollar, USD-US Dollar, SAR-Saudi Riyal, and TWD-New Taiwan Dollar.
Abstract. The main interest of this study is to investigate the effect of MHD on the boundary layer flow and heat transfer of viscoelastic micropolar fluid. Governing equations are transformed into dimensionless form in order to reduce their complexity. Then, the stream function is applied to the dimensionless equations to produce partial differential equations which are then solved numerically using the Keller-box method in Fortran programming. The numerical results are compared to published study to ensure the reliability of present results. The effects of selected physical parameters such as the viscoelastic parameter, K, micropolar parameter, K1 and magnetic parameter, M on the flow and heat transfer are discussed and presented in tabular and graphical form. The findings from this study will be of critical importance in the fields of medicine, chemical as well as industrial processes where magnetic field is involved.
The stability of covariance matrix is a major issue in multivariate analysis. As can be seen in the literature, the most popular and widely used tests are Box M-test and Jennrich J-test introduced by Box in 1949 and Jennrich in 1970, respectively. These tests involve determinant of sample covariance matrix as multivariate dispersion measure. Since it is only a scalar representation of a complex structure, it cannot represent the whole structure. On the other hand, they are quite cumbersome to compute when the data sets are of high dimension since they do not only involve the computation of determinant of covariance matrix but also the inversion of a matrix. This motivates us to propose a new statistical test which is computationally more efficient and, if it is used simultaneously with M-test or J-test, we will have a better understanding about the stability of covariance structure. An example will be presented to illustrate its advantage
It is assumed that polluted environment reduces the quality of porcelain insulator in terms of leakage current. In this paper we conduct a correlation analysis to understand to what extent the influence of geothermal area to the quality of porcelain insulator. An example will be discussed and a recommendation will be presented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
