This research is proposed to describe and explain; (1) the ideas (mentifact) in Putri Jelumpang folklore, (2) the character’s activities (sociofact) of Putri Jelumpang folklore, (3) the cultural outcomes (artifact) in Put-ri Jelumpang folklore, (4) the education value of Putri Jelumpang folktale. This research used descriptive qualitative method with literary anthropology approach. Sampling technique use purposive sampling. Collecting data technique use document analysis and interview. To validity the data, it uses triangulation of source. Data analysis technique use qualitative hermeneuticmethods. The results of this research shows that: (1) the ideas in Putri Jelumpang folktale were ideas about the human life and te idea of human relations with nature; (2) the character’s activities in Putri Jelumpang folktale were activities about equipment of hu-man life, and religious system; (3) there is no cultural outcomes in Putri Jelumpang folklore; (4) education value that can be find in Putri Jelumpang folklore is moral eduation value of good deeds, fullfillment of rghts, and honesty.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeksripsikan dan menjelaskan; (1) ide (mentifact) dalam cerita rakyat Putri Je-lumpang, (2) aktivitas tokoh (sosiofact) dalam cerita rakyat Putri Jelumpang, (3) hasil budaya (artifact) dalam cerita rakyat Putri Jelumpang, (4) nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam cerita rakyat Putri Jelumpang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan antropologi sastra. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis dokumen dan wawancara. Validitas data menggunakan tringulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode kualitatif hermeneutika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) wujud ide atau gagasan dalam rakyat Putri Jelumpang meliputi, ide tentang hidup manusia dan ide tentang hubungan manusia dengan alam; (2) aktivitas tokoh dalam cerita rakyat Putri Jelumpangantara lain, aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan peralatan kehidupan manusia dan aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan sistem religi; (3) tidak ditemukan adanya hasil budaya dalam cerita rakyat Putri Jelumpang; (4) nilai pendidikan yang ditemukan dalam cerita rakyat Putri Jelumpang adalah nilai pendidikan moral perbuatan baik, pemenuhan hak, dan kejujuran.

The results of this research shows that: (1) the themes of a set of folktale Kalantika were ideas about the human view of universe and knowledge system; (2) the cultural characteristic in activities of folktale’s figure Kalantika were activities about equipment of human life, livelihood system, and knowledge system; (3) the cultural result of set of folktale Kalantika that can be find are the cultural result in the form of livelihood system and economy system, and knowledge system also; (4) education value that can be find are moral value, social value, religion value, and culture value; (5) Kalantika can be some teaching materials in literary learning of Junior High School.</em></p>
