Bu çalışmanın amacı, Amerikan futbolu sporcularının (Korumalı Futbol) yalnızlık düzeyleri ile sporda mental dayanıklılık düzeylerinin bazı değişkenlere göre, karşılaştırılması ve incelenmesidir. Çalışma grubu, Türkiye Beysbol, Softbol, Korumalı Futbol ve Ragbi Federasyonu (TBSF)'na bağlı, lig takımlarında bulunan ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılmayı kabul eden 4 ayrı üniversiteden, 93 erkek sporcudan oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama sürecinde, Russel ve ark. (1978) tarafından geliştirilen, Yaparel (1984) tarafından Türkçe'ye çevrilen ve Demir (1989) tarafından son halini alan "University Of California, Los Angeles" UCLA Yalnızlık Ölçeği ile Sheard ve ark. (2009) tarafından geliştirilen ve Pehlivan (2014) tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlanan "Sporda Mental Dayanıklılık Ölçeği'ne" ek olarak, bireylerin üniversite bölümü, yaş, boy ve kilolarına ilişkin 37 sorudan oluşan bir bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda, Amerikan Futbolu sporcularının (Korumalı Futbol) yaş, boy ve kilo değişkenlerine göre yalnızlık düzeylerinin ters orantılı olduğu, sporcularının sporda mental dayanıklılık düzeylerinin yaş ve boy değişkenleri göre doğru orantılı olarak, değerler yükseldikçe sporda mental dayanıklılık düzeylerinin arttığı görülmüştür. Sporcularda, sporda mental dayanıklılık düzeyleri ile yalnızlık düzeyleri arasında negatif ve anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu, sporda mental dayanıklılık düzeyleri arttıkça yalnızlık düzeylerinin düştüğü sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Purpose of this research is to measure the effect of educational game training on some physical parameters and social skills of the children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Five individuals (participants) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder participated in the research. During the research, the participants were made to play 8 different educational games for 8 weeks, and 3 days a week for 1 hour; and the sessions during the research were recorded with a video camera. Research data were obtained before and after the 8-week educational game program by using flamingo test, vertical jump test, plate tapping test, sit and reach test, and by performance determination form for individuals with pervasive developmental disability. SPSS 25 package program was used in the analysis of the data. The Wilcoxon test, a nonparametric test, was used to evaluate pre- and post-test results. As a result of the study, it was found that the educational games have positive effects on some physical parameters (balance, flexibility, strength, hand-eye coordination) and social skills (matching skills, imitation skills, following instructions skills, visual support use, receptive language skills, communicative language skills, game and music skills, self-care skills, daily life skills, motor skills, socialization skills, and mathematics).
This study aims to evaluate the quality of service as perceived by the young members, who get service from the Kocaeli International Youth Center, which operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. In order to fulfill this objective, the three-dimensional “Scale of the Perceived Service Quality at Youth Centers,” developed by Aycan et. al.(2005) and intended for youth centers, has been applied to 247 youths, who are members of and get service from youth centers. Within the scope of the research, viewpoints of the youths, with regard to some of their demographic characteristics, concerning the elements of the service quality have been analyzed. Consisting of 103 males and 144 females, a total of 247 individuals have taken part in the research. Following the analyses done and in the context of the elements of the service quality at the youth centers as perceived by the youths, it is found that there are no gender-specific differences; according to age variable, there is a difference in all factors in favor of the age group 7-12; as for the variable of family income, there is a difference in output quality factor in favor of the youths with an income level lower than 1300 TLs; and as for the variable of school type, there are significant differences in favor of the primary school level.
ÖzetBu araştırmanın amacı, lise ve üniversitelerde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin spor medyasını izleme ve bahis oyunu oynama alışkanlıklarının belirlenmesidir. Bolu ve Sakarya'da genel lise, Anadolu lisesi ve meslek liselerinde öğrenim gören 554 öğrenci ile Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi ve Sakarya Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim gören 521 öğrenci araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Ankete katılan lise öğrencilerinin % 42'si hiç bahis oyunu oynamadığını bildirirken, % 38'i ara sıra, % 11'i ise düzenli olarak oynadığını bildirmiştir. Bu sonuç, 18 yaşından küçüklerin bahis oyunu oynamasının yasak olduğu Türkiye için üzerinde düşünülmesi gereken bir durumdur. Üniversite öğrencilerin % 80.4'ü spor medyasını takip etmektedir. Spor medyasını takip eden öğrenciler, en çok televizyondaki spor haberlerini ile spor programlarını takip etmektedir. Katılımcıların % 33'ü ara sıra, % 9.2'si de düzenli olarak bahis oyunu oynamaktadırlar. Bahis oyunlarını yoğun olarak erkek öğrenciler oynamaktadır. Aileleri dar gelirli üniversite ve lise öğrencileri, para kazanmak amacıyla bahis oyunu oynamaktadır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Spor, medya, bahis. Behavior of Watching Sports Media and Playing Betting Games For High School and College Students AbstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the habits of high school and college students related to watching sports media and playing betting games. The sample of the universe is made up of a total of 554 students, randomly selected form general, Anatolian and vocational high schools and 521 students Abant Izzet Baysal University and Sakarya University in Bolu and Sakarya provinces. 42% of the high school students participating in the survey expressed that they had never played betting games whereas 38% played them sometimes and 11% played regularly. This result is striking in a country in which minors fewer than 18 are not allowed to play betting games by law. 80.4% of the university students are following the sports media. The college students who watch the sports media mostly prefer the sports news and programs on TV. 33% of the participants expressed that they sometimes played betting games whereas 9.2% played them regularly. Male college students play betting games more commonly. University and high school students with lower socio-economic parental income play these games to get some extra money.
Purpose of this study is to analyze the attitudes of the teacher candidates studying at universities towards the game of chess and determine to what extent these attitudes are affected by some variables. In this study, survey model was used. As data collection tool, "Attitude Scale for the Game of Chess" was used, developed by Sadık et al., having factor loads ranging from .76 to .94, being one-dimensional, consisting of 16 items, with total explained variance of 86 %, and with Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient of .98. The study group consisted of 451 teacher candidates studying at the university. Research data was analyzed by using IBM SPSS 22.0 program. In analyzing the data, t-test and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used for frequency independent samples. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the attitudes towards chess did not differ according to gender variable, whereas they showed significant differences according to class and department variables. Findings were discussed in the context of literature, and various suggestions were made about the field of chess education.
