This study aimed to understand the influence of consumer-brand engagement and brand communication on destination brand equity, survey to maritime tourism of Ujung Kulon and Anak Krakatau, Banten. The population chosen in this study is the Instagram followers of Ujung Kulon and Krakatau Banten.The total of the samples are 96 respondents chosen using purposive sampling. This study used inferential statistic tests, which were divided into two: The correlation Test and Linear Regression Test. This study used a correlational survey method Approach. This research used a quantitative approach and a positivist paradigm. The results showed that the use of Instagram is successful in creating destination brand equity because the entertainment and interaction dimension provided a strong effect on the loyalty dimension of the destination brand equity variable. People who are online and following the Instagram account became loyal because the pictures posted gave entertainment value, joy, and relaxation effect. The interaction between the followers and admin of the account of Maritime Tourism of Ujung Kulon and Anak Krakatau, Banten also added the entertainment value. This study provides new contributions regarding the promotion of maritime tourism destinations through theories about brand engagement, brand equity, and brand communication.
This research aims to determine the extent to which teenagers distinguish true news from fake news and how these fake news affect adolescents’cognition. A lot of hoax information has sprung up on social media, especially during the 2019 Indonesian presidential election. The ability to check on the information spread in online media is influenced by each individual’s cognitive abilities. A person’s cognitive ability is to think rationally, including aspects of knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. This study used an explanative survey method with a quantitative positivistic paradigm. The results showed that the most influencing X variable to the Y variable was the Satire variable, which is positive and unidirectional. The Hoax variable has the most influence on cognitive abilities, even though the value is negative and not unidirectional. This means, the lower the understanding of Hoax, the higher the level of cognitive abilities.
This study is to analyze the influence of the quality of information on the decision to choose CNNIndonesia.com media either directly or through the mediation of trust variables. The tremendous growth of cyber media in Indonesia, followed by the development of online media, has made people more careful in choosing online media. Meanwhile, the use and gratification theory states that the most important role of media is to meet people's needs and motivations, how certain media are sought and selected to meet their needs. This study uses a survey method through a quantitative approach positivistic. The sample was determined by an accidental sampling technique with a sample of 115 respondents. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Square analysis with the SmartPLS version 3 program. The data analysis shows that the quality of information has a significant effect on increasing trust in CNNIndonesia.com media, the quality of information has a significant effect in increasing the decision to choose CNNIndonesia.com media, and trust has a significant effect in increasing the decision to choose CNNIndonesia.com media. This study also found that the trust variable was able to mediate the effect of information quality on the decision to choose CNNIndonesia.com media.
The purpose of the study was to describe the opinions of influencers in netizen conversations on Twitter regarding religious moderation. The research uses public opinion, agenda setting models, and the spiral of silence to analyze opinions and topics discussed by Mega influencers, Macro influencers, Micro influencers, and Nano influencers. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive content analysis method. Research data obtained using NVivo with the keyword religious moderation. Research results: Most of the public opinion of influencers on twitter are positive. In the account of the nano-influencer, 11 accounts have a negative tone, and 1 account has a neutral tone regarding religious moderation. This study concludes that religious moderation is a government agenda that is socialized through the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and all its staff. The parties who have different opinions, only a small part express their disapproval of the religious moderation program through Twitter.
This research concerns the health communication campaign for Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) during the Covid-19 pandemic among students of the graduate school of the University of Mercu Buana. This research found that the social learning theory proves effective in the campaign which leads to a change in society’s behaviour. The theory used in this research is Albert Bandura's social learning theory. This research used positivistic paradigm. The method used in this research is a survey explanatory method and quantitative approach. The population is students of the graduate school at the University of Mercu Buana Jakarta. The sampling is conducted using purposive sampling techniques to 100 respondents, with a sampling error of 5%. The technique of data analysis used in this research is simple regression analysis. The result shows that PHBS Campaign has no significant effect on Anxiety Level. PHBS Campaign has a significant effect on Compliance Level. Anxiety Level has no significant effect on Compliance Level. PHBS Campaign has no significant effect on Compliance Level through Anxiety Level.
