This study examines the relationship between gratitude, resilience, and academic performance among students of a public university in Malaysia. One hundred and forty-six samples were obtained through a simple random technique (N=235). The survey employed GQ6 (Gratitude Questionnaire), Brief Resilience Scale (BRS), and self-reported grade-point average (GPA) as its measurement tools. Correlation analysis shows that gratitude has a high positive relationship with resilience and academic performance. Findings from the study support those of previous studies about the importance of gratitude in improving student’s psychological resilience and academic performances. The study suggests that adopting a sense of gratefulness and appreciation helps students overcome challenges in their educational journey at university.
<p class="Default">Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) not only affects the physical condition but also impacts on psychological conditions, such as feeling down, embarrassed by appearance, feelings of worthlessness, anxiety, to despair which is the cause of decreased quality of life. In improving the quality of life requires a psychological intervention called Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). This study aims to seek the effects of MBCT interventions on improving the quality of life of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) with hemodialysis. Research participants were 3 people. This research was a case study research with a mixed method. Data analysis strategy used was a concurrent embedded strategy that compares quantitative and qualitative data. The result showed that MBCT interventions could improve participant’s quality of life. MBCT interventions provide the skills to be aware of clear thoughts, feelings, and events without assessing them so that patients can sort out the things that originate from their thoughts and distinguish them from actual events. This accomplishment of the result can be perceived from the arising of feeling more enjoy life and there is an increase in scores on each aspect of quality of life on the measurement scale used.</p>
This study aims to determine the effect of positive psychotherapy on improving the welfare well-being of early adult women who do not have a partner/boy friend/fiancee. Positive psychotherapy (PPT) is a therapy developed by Tayyab Rashid using a positive psychological approach. The goal of this therapy is to build a pleasant life, engagement life, and a meaningful life, by optimizing the power side of a person and maximizing the usefulness of positive emotions. The researchs design in this research is quasi experimental, involving two Participants using purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained by using interview method, observation, and questionnaire. The questionnaire used in this research is Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and positive and negative influences affect schedule (PANAS). Positive psychotherapy is given as much as six sessions. Measurements are made twice, ie before and after the intervention. . Data were analyzed using descriptive-qualitative analysis. The results showed. Positive psychotherapy gives effect in improving subjective wellbeing of single early adult women who do not have a partner/boy friend/fiancee.
<span>The results of field studies obtained results regarding the process of Islamic counseling work on Muslim client. Data was obtained through interviews conducted with two speakers, each of whom was a practitioner of Muslim psychology who carried out Islamic counseling services and a Muslim client. Processing data through testing the validity of data with data/source triangulation techniques. Data analysis using the Miles & Huberman model. The Islamic counseling work process is then explored through the concept of religious coping. In reviewing the concepts of religious coping, all stages in the series of processes of Islamic counseling work include the use of the concept of positive religious coping in all different types of religious functions. However, there is a concept of belief/faith/<em>fitrah</em> as an aspect targeted in Islamic counseling that cannot be correctly explained through the concept of religious coping. </span>
Systemic Lupus Erithematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disorder that can affect almost all organs of the body. SLE is part of the chronic illness disabilities (CID) with the highest number of women reproductive age. Not only the physical affects but also quite disturbing psychological conditions, for example increased negative emotions, depression, and suicidal ideation. Chronic illness disabilities (CID) patients often have low perception of life satisfaction and will affect a person's level of well-being. To achieve the condition of well-being, psychological interventions that can help increase the level of well-being in women with Systemic Lupus Erithematosus are needed. The intervention was a group positive psychotherapy by pleasent life, engaged life and meaning full life. The purpose of this research can help individuals to improve well-being especially for women with Systemic Lupus Erithematosus. In this research, Group Positive Psychotherapy was conducted in 14 sessions with pre-test and post-test. This research is a case study with a single case experimental design. The method used is mixed method with concurrent embedded strategy, using qualitative data as primary and quantitative data as secondary data. The measuring instrument used is The PERMA Profiler with a reliability value of 0,761 compared to Cronbach's Alpha which is r<0,6 not reliable and r>0,6 reliable. The participants in this study were 3 people. Based on qualitative results indicate that there is an increase in the level of wellbeing in the 3 participants and increasing score in 5 aspects of well-being after intervention.
