Cross sections and yields have been determined for some radionuclides, used in nuclear medicine ( 52 Fe, 77 Kr/ 77 Br, 82 Sr, 123 Xe/ 123 I, 128 Ba, 201 T1), in bombardment of targets with protons of energy < 100 MeV. The experimental cross sections are compared with the excitation functions calculated by the code ALICE in the energy range from the threshold to 100 MeV. At the end of bombardment the thick target yields were as follows (mCi/μΑ-Ιι, in the given energy range): for
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
