En el presente trabajo se aborda el estudio florístico y fitosociológico del Paisaje Protegido de la Rambla de Castro, espacio natural situado en la costa norte de la isla de Tenerife, de gran interés histórico, biológico y paisajístico. Enclavado en el piso bioclimático inframediterráneo xérico semiárido, la vegetación potencial, rica en endemismos, está constituida
principalmente por comunidades halófilas (Frankenio ericifoliae-Astydamietum latifoliae) y pequeños bosquetes de tarajales (Atriplici ifniensis-Tamaricetum canariensis), así como restos de tabaibales-cardonales (Periploco
laevigatae-Euphorbietum canariensis), matorrales termófilos (Mayteno canariensis-Juniperion canariensis) y vegetación rupícola (Greenovio-Aeonietea); conserva, además, un espléndido palmeral de Phoenix canariensis y
Phoenix dactylifera.
