Even now, in the times of advanced digitization, the planning and implementation of many organizational measures remain human-driven. Corresponding to a global trend of application of artificial intelligence in all areas of life, it has received more attention in the last few years and garnered emerging clusters of research in usage of this technology for organizational issues. Some companies already offer tools that support different management tasks in the area of organizational development, but they are not holistic. According to the google trend analysis of the search for artificial intelligence, the inquiry to this topic continues increasing. The purpose of the described investigation was to identify the academic trends in research interaction between such scientific fields, as Artificial Intelligence, Organizational Management, Organizational Development, Organizational Change, and Organizational Culture using bibliometric and network publication analysis. In order to achieve this purpose, we systematically analysed 191 publications between 1983 and 2020 as well as cited and citing publications. The findings of this study provide important conclusions of the current research state. The insightful results are presented in the form of critical review and frame the body of knowledge.
Organizational development is one of the most important fields of organizational management. With increasing connectivity and digitalization of processes, systems, and data, intrusions via interfaces and subsystems can be affected by the entire system’s security. The manipulation or loss of data in artificial intelligence-based systems takes on a serious role, as the technology learns and acts based on data. Since personal and person-related data and confidential company data are of particular importance, this issue’s relevance is significant. This study aimed to determine the data access limit for digital systems for organizational development and to investigate user attitudes towards the procession of personal data through artificial intelligence. The main purpose is to provide the research results to target selected security and data protection aspects in the design of organizational development systems based on artificial intelligence. Investigation of this topic is carried out in three logical phases. The first phase provides the analysis of scientific publications. It explores how and under which aspects and conditions digital systems for organizational development depend on information security and data protection. The literature review included keyword network analysis in Scopus with further visualization in VOSviewer. The second part provides a targeted data classification according to security classes, which can be directly applied to design organizational development or management software. In the third phase, there is a survey of respondents from Ukraine and Germany to determine the attitudes towards collecting and analyzing personal data through artificial intelligence. The investigation results show the close connection of the subject’s security and data protection with the change management system, privacy, development of technological models in enterprises, applications for and of process analysis, the legislative basis for information security, etc. According to the survey, the respondents from Ukraine show more neutrality in accepting the collection of personal or personal data through artificial intelligence. Across age and nationality, it can be stated that the majority of respondents are not opposed to collecting and analyzing data about the execution of the activity or behavior, personal details, family status, education. Scientists and practitioners can directly use the findings for further applications in developing digital systems for organizational development. Keywords: information security of organizational development system, artificial intelligence for organizational development, protection of organizational data, protection of personal data.
The increase of investigations regarding digital systems for the social structure mapping leads to dynamizing previously rigidly recorded processes or deliberately ignored ones. Such processes include, among others, matters with a social context, which have been difficult to describe in mathematical terms. This investigation is an integral part of explanatory research on the digital representation of an organization. The main purpose of the study is to investigate the literary sources and approaches to find the determinants of a general surrogate model, to identify the required parameters and their mathematical contents as well, as to design a surrogate model construct capable of application to different digital organizational systems, independent of the dominant behavioral and decision-making pattern of the lead unit. The relevance of this scientific problem decision is that recently, an increasingly vast number of research investigations on the digitization of anthropological systems is being done. The modeling of the leadership surrogate model is a part of our research on the digitization of organizational systems. Investigation of the topic is carried out in the following logical sequence: analysis of scientific publications on the researched subject and model creation. This part consists of successive steps: abstraction of a real system of management units and the delimitation of the indicated topics, definition of constraints for further simplification of the surrogate model, model construction, establishment of model-describing formalism, and obtaining the exact surrogate model based on the dataset. Since our surrogate model has a general character, the last step was described only indicatively. Nevertheless, we consider this to be a tremendous potential extension for the following investigations on different scenarios. The research results can be useful for other scientists searching for research on the mathematical representations of the leadership model, the surrogate model for the leadership unit, and practitioners who intend to implement the leadership model in the digital organization system. The additional parameters can complement the created surrogate model; respectively the considered parameters can be calculated or measured by other methods. Keywords: Digital Organizational Systems, Leadership Model, Surrogate Model, Mathematical Model.
Sustained continuous monitoring and replication of organizational development in digital organizational twins is of particular importance for labour-intensive enterprises and also those in which reciprocal relations between social, corporate, normative and performative aspects assume the leading role. The main purpose of the research is the developing of a digital representation of organizational processes, which focuses on the performance, working activities, organizational issues, behaviour and interactions between of the organizational members. Consequently, the objectives of research include the monitoring of current research state, concept and design of a digital twin. The implementation of digital organizational twin should improve considering timely optimization of proactive and reactive organizational development measures in the company in relation to the core variables of the 7S model. The created digital twin should map the dynamics of organizational development, as well as concomitant and deviating processes. Systematization literary sources and approaches for the digital replication of organizational development issues indicates the lack of publications on research and diffuse distribution of scientific interest. The initial design of organizational development in the digital twin is based on four main objects and limited to a certain number of investigated parameters. This paper compare the conventional and digitalized organizational development process, explain the data flow in digital organizational twin, the design of organizational development in the digital organizational twin, provide an overview of the individual facets of organizational development, list the parameterization models and exemplarily illustrate the visualization of selected parameters. The results of the research can be useful for the expansion of the tension bridge between organisational development and technologies and the development of new potentials for the study of socio-technical effects in companies. This can be extended to include the other facets of business management and supplemented by the connection of other technological resources.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
